Making money via trading - Splinterlands Stories

avatar

i've been always saying that i'm a player rather than a trader in Splinterlands
and i am in this game for the fun and the gaming experience and not for making money
this doesn't mean that i cannot trade though
like most of you i've been around crypto-platforms trading coins and stuff like that but i was never too good at it so i keep myself out of the trading game as much as i can

Splinterlands trading NFTs is not so similar to trading coins and i believe this is the reason why when i decide to trade, i do it successfully...of course not all of the times, but most of the times as it seems, it is profitable for me

in an older post of mine where i was trying to make you understand for yourself, the reason of your involvement in the game, i was giving you examples of how you can make money out of the game without actually being involved in battling
..this way was just by trading
investing in cards and trading cards

Splinterlands community is growing every day
there will always be ( at least as it seems for now ) someone out there willing to buy at the right price your NFT monster-cards
the major difficulty in this procedure for you is to know whether a card is cheap ,at a certain point of time, at the market in order to buy it or expensive so that you can sell it and make money in your pocket
of course there are many tools and sites you can visit in order to gain this information, see different diagrams and act accordingly but still is not so easy until you get familiar with all of this
it needs work from your side
you have to know that nothing is easy in this life guys, it needs hard work in order to succeed

anyway let me show you how i made some successful trades and managed to get some decent profit in my wallet

in this post here i showed you how i managed to buy and sell Spineback Turtle Alpha Edition
in the 1st trade i sold and bought back the card for 4670 DEC and 2370 DEC accordingly, making a net profit of 2300 DEC
in the 2nd trade i sold and bought back the same card for 6300 DEC and 1600 DEC accordingly, making a net profit of 4700 DEC
of course you can say
'you made more money in the second trade, so your first try was not successful'
but guys as long as there is profit everything is ok
this is the way i'm thinking about.. definitely i'm interested in making the maximum out of a trade but there are so many different factors that affect a trade so at the end of the day if you are in profit it is a good trade
so don't be greedy ...be reasonable

today i wanna share with you a trade with a more expensive card
by the time you see what i made out of this trade the previous one will seem small potatoes to you
this card is the Ruler of the Seas

ruleroftheseas.jpg

a legendary Reward card from the Water Splinter
at some point of time the card was in a bit of shortage in the market
i grabbed this opportunity and sold one of my cards for 85$ which were equal to 133.420 DEC
when the sellers became more and the price dropped to 50$ i considered this the right time to buy back my precious Ruler

let me make clear to you that i have a very serious problem to part from my precious and beloved cards
even if i have a card in many copies if that card is one of my favorites i cannot give it away
so i was very happy that the Ruler i had sold ,returned to my collection again

i was even happier that i managed not only to get Ruler back but with a profit also!
50$ were equal to 68.984 DEC so i actually made a net profit of 68.850 DEC which is very very good

i spent all these lines to give you examples of my experience in trading and how i see, my point of view in making money out of Splinterlands
for sure i'm not a shrewd trader
i'm not a regular in trading , but i do like to make some trades here and there and save some DEC for future use
i hope i'm giving you the motivation to be involved in trading if this is what you like and what you want
many times i thought i should maybe try to get myself deeper and with more professionalism in trading cards
but as i told you above this needs time and effort and i'm actually not willing to give up my joy from battling to go trading
trading in a more intense way is not for me BUT maybe it is for you!!
everybody is welcome here is Splinterlands
every single one of you is special and gives value to the community

so you wanna be a trader??? well what are you waiting for??

That is impressive and shows a very good knowledge of the game. I personally have a hard time assessing the price of Cards, so I don't think I'm a very good trader.

i won't say trading is easy....and yes you need to know the market, you need to check on prices constantly etc etc... i think i 'm lucky cause i 'm in the game for many years and i know very well every part of it so to me it is not so difficult

Hey, you should try to format your posts differently, it makes for a hard experience to read them when the text is all centered.

This sounds really great, I've tried doing similar in the past, but I always sell for Lower than I buy?, Is there a Time difference between ur purchase and sells, it can't be instant or in like a day? Tnx for sharing 👌
