For some time now I have been making a small collection of three figurines inspired by a single splinterlands card, which precisely has these 3 characters.

It has been a great experience making these 3 characters, so I would like to show you the last one I made.

Below you can see the card I was inspired by and the last character, from the card, the one that looks similar to a wild cat.

Desde hace un tiempo he estado haciendo una pequeña colección de tres figuritas inspiradas en una sola carta de splinterlands, que precisamente tiene a estos 3 personajes.

Ha sido una experiencia genial hacer a estos 3 personajes, por eso me gustaría mostrarles el último que hice.

A continuación pueden ver la carta en la que me inspiré y al último personaje, de la carta, el que tiene una apariencia similar a la de un gato salvaje.

All three are Chibi style figures and it is certainly lovely to be able to make this kind of sculptures and share them with the community.

Below you can see the creative process of the last sculpture of this mini collection.

Step by step

The first thing I usually do is the support for the sculpture. For this case I used a line of wire and a bunch of paper covering that wire. Then I used thread to hold everything in place.

Las tres son figuras en estilo Chibi y ciertamente es encantador poder hacer este tipo de esculturas y compartirlas con la comunidad.

A continuación podrán ver el proceso creativo de la última escultura de esta mini colección.

Paso a paso

Lo primero que acostumbro a hacer es el soporte de la escultura. Para este caso usé una línea de alambre y un montón de papel cubriendo ese alambre. Luego usé hilo para sostener todo en su lugar.

With the support ready, I started to cover the paper base with plasticine. I used a light color, but not completely white, as I mixed some green, blue, white and gray to create this light color.

It looks white, yes, but it is not.

Con el soporte listo, empecé a cubrir la base de papel con plastilina. Usé un color claro, pero no completamente blanco, pues mezclé un poco de verde, azul, blanco y gris para crear este color claro.

Se ve blanco, sí, pero no lo es.

I began to make the shapes of the face, such as the eye sockets and the elongated snout, similar to that of a wild cat.

I made the ears pointed, similar to those of the other characters, so that there would be symmetry between the three of them.

Comencé a hacer las formas de la cara, como las cuencas de los ojos y el hocico alargado, similar al de un gato salvaje.

Las orejas las hice puntiagudas, similares a las de los otros personajes, para que hubiese simetría entre los tres.

With one of my pointed tools I made an incision in the center of the snout to create that characteristic shape that this kind of animals have. I made it a little open, but not completely, as you can see in the image below:

Con una de mis herramientas puntiagudas hice una incisión en el centro del hocico para crear esa forma tan característica que tienen este tipo de animales. Lo hice algo abierto, pero no por completo, tal como pueden ver en la imagen a continuación:

At this point I continued with the legs, both back and front.

I used the same light color of plasticine, but mixed with some blue and green, to differentiate it a little from the rest of the body. I used this color only for the tip of the paws.

En este punto continué con las patas, tanto las traseras como las delanteras.

Usé un color de plastilina igual de claro, pero mezclado con algo de azul y verde, para diferenciarlo un poco del resto del cuerpo. Este color lo usé solamente para la punta de las patitas.

Using the same tool with which I made the mouth lines, I made the dividing lines for the legs. You can use a pointed wooden stick for this purpose.

Usando la misma herramienta con la que hice las líneas de la boca, hice las líneas divisorias de las patitas. Ustedes pueden usar un palillo puntiagudo de madera para este propósito.

In the same way I started to make lines along the sculpture to create a fur-like effect, as this is a character just as furry as the other two.

They are wild animals so this step was necessary, not only for this but also to join the different parts of the figure and smooth the joints.

De igual manera comencé a hacer líneas a lo largo de la escultura para crear un efecto parecido al del pelaje, pues este es un personaje igual de peludo que los otros dos.

Son animales salvajes así que este paso era necesario, no solo para esto sino también para unir las distintas partes de la figura y suavizar las uniones.

The last thing I did was to place the eyes, which I made in purple; I also placed the ears, some eyebrows and the nose, which I made with light purple plasticine.

On the other hand, I also painted some spots along the body of the little wild cat.

Ya lo último que hice fue colocar los ojos, los cuales hice de color morado; también coloqué las orejitas, unas cejas y la nariz, las cuales hice con plastilina de color morado claro.

Por otra parte, también pinté algunas manchitas a lo largo del cuerpo del pequeño gato salvaje.

It took me quite a while to make them but it was certainly satisfying to finally have them complete this collection of 3 figurines. It has also been a pleasure to have shared them with all those who read me and visit my publications.
