Land Plots Unlocked Goal Achieved! * My Hive Goals (Week 18, 2024)

This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.

52-Week HBD Savings Challenge

A 52-week challenge following the popular model starts slowly and becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing week. The challenge is not at the beginning but at the end. That's why, we can use the easy start to prepare for the tougher weeks ahead.

In my case, I started with 1 HBD in week 1. This is also the step that increases the amount I need to save every week. The rule is, in my case: I need to add to savings the amount of HBD per week equal to the week number in the challenge. That means, in week 52 I'll need to save 52 HBD.

We are in the 19th week of the 52-week HBD challenge. That means I added 19 HBD to the savings for this particular goal, and reached 190 HBD, without counting the accrued interest.

Here's how things look right now:

Note: You can see there is already a small discrepancy in the totals between the spreadsheet and what is in the wallet. That is because of some approximations and easy calculations in the spreadsheet.

I traded the recent volatility a bit with the expected positive results (could have used more liquid funds). I don't expect any pumps during the summer, so I profited to position more conservatively for the time being, but maybe with the potential to earn some LP rewards.

Posting & Commenting Goal

I haven't missed a daily post this year yet. Reached 1781 posts published, with 224 left to hit the target in 2024. That puts the progress at 36% where 34.62% was needed to be in the green.

Here's the situation so far:

I haven't missed any edition of Week through Adrian's Lenses in 2024 either, and I mention this since it's also part of my posting goal. Overall, I reached the 69th edition of the weekly roundup which debuted at the beginning of 2023.

I also started the week with 18,595 comments made. Ended the week with 18703, which means I made 108 comments last week, which is still above the weekly average needed to reach the comments target by the end of the year.

Second week in a row of exceeding the weekly average. Still about 1.5% of catching up until I get into the green area with this goal.

I currently need an average of 97 comments weekly to reach the comments target by the end of the year.

Land Plots Unlocked - Completed

Completed in Week 18, as it became clear quite a while ago from my weekly rhythm of starting to develop new plots (4 every week, after beginning at a pace of 2 per week).

Started the week with 73 plots unlocked and productive and 23 under construction. I currently have 73 productive plots and 27 under construction. This week a few more plots will become productive.

Here's the final situation:

I'm not sure if I'll update this section every week as new plots become productive. I consider the goal achieved after I started building (clearing) all the plots that aren't productive yet.

I already have a Splinterlands-based goal in mind that will start right away because it makes sense, considering what will come to Land next. But I'll talk about it next week.

And no, it's not maxing out the soulbound reward cards set, although that is a target of mine too. But I'd rather track that separately.

LEO Staked

My LEO stake remains at 23,800 LP, with 3k being delegated to one of the winners of the previous LPUD draw. I'm keeping LEO liquid for the next LPUD for the time being.

Here's the current situation:

If I participate in the future LPUDs as before, with 200 LEO power-ups, and nothing else staked throughout the months, this goal should be completed in October.

ZING Multiplier - Completed

Goal completed in week 10 with 25,203 ZING.

Since then, I slowly grew my stash from staking rewards only. Waiting for sales.

My ZING holdings are now at 26,047.

This was the final situation when the goal was achieved, I won't keep updating it:

23k staked LEO way to go. Where do you aim to see your Leo goals hopefully by the end of the year?

My LEO staked goal is not challenging this year: 25k. But I do add to LPs as well.

You have bought these plots with a lot of hard work and I also want to buy them but I have not been able to buy them yet.

Land has been very slow to develop since the presale, when I purchased them.

Congratulations on unlocking all the plots and good luck getting them to be productive. Great progress on your goals and I tend to also go for the minimum most of the time as well if I am not rushing things.

Thanks! Yeah, without starting the unlocking process, it's just wasted time. Even if you use low-level cards.

Nice progress! Are the land plots paying out very well at this point? Keep building that HBD and LEO, that's a great strategy. I'm not sold on ZING yet, I really hope it's a success for everyone but so many new games turn out to be disappointing. Do you think the future still looks bright for HoloZing?

I wouldn't know. I focused a lot on research for the long term. We'll see more then the Grain-DEC LP comes into play.

Do you think the future still looks bright for HoloZing?

I don't know. They say they ran into some issues and will post about it soon.
