SplinterGlossary: What Is Splinterlands? - Over 3500 words now

avatar

This is the weekly update on the progress of SplinterGlossary.

What Is SplinterGlossary?

SplinterGlossary is that section of LeoGlossary that defines a glossary of inter-linked terms and definitions for Splinterlands. LeoGlossary is focused on financial, general crypto, but also including Hive and Leofinance terms and definitions, banking terms, insurance terms, and a series of specific lists.

Numbers of the Week

The numbers of the week remain at 337 terms, 12 lists, and 1 super page. Nothing new was added, only updated.

Some Details

I only had one objective that was able to successfully fulfill this week: to bring the What is Splinterlands? super page to a more complete state. This doesn't mean I won't continue to update this page, but for the time being the focus will shift to other things, as I'm falling behind already on Splinterlands updates.

So, what can I say about the super page I worked on this week?

I can tell you that it was around 1500 at the beginning of the week and it is 3500 words now. So, around 2000 more words. That should be comparable to the number of words I wrote on my personal posts until now this week, I believe...

Regarding the links this super page has, let's take a look:

210 do-follow links, 14 external (29-15), and 196 internal.

What the simple link counter I used doesn't tell me is how many links are unique and how many doubles. Because I know I used a few links more than once.

Not all links are something I added on the super page. There are others that were added automatically by the Leofinance interface, particularly the top menu (which would change if the post is viewed on a different interface).

Plans for the Future

Here are the priorities:

  • check on this week's release and see what/if I need to update from the existing definitions
  • add an initial definition for SplinterForge, without going into details
  • if I have time, get back to my previous priority about sets

Final Words

Remember that the success or not of this project depends a lot on the contribution of others. When you use terms defined in SplinterGlossary in your Splinterlands/gaming posts, it would be great if you'd link them to those definition posts.

Also, if you notice something wrong with any defined terms, please let me know in these weekly updates.

Thanks for all the work and I'll check out the superpage. I should be using that more for my posts.

(Edited)

It'll be awesome if you'd link it more in your Splinterlands-related posts.

PS: Also, let me know what should be improved, and what's missing, or if you notice something wrong in the super page, please, if you go over it.

Geez, that's a lot of words related to Splinterlands alone.

Lol, yes they are. But that will probably become longer in time. Just think about it. I barely talked about land in there.
