CRUEL SETHROPOD - Splinterlands Weekly Challenge

This week the weekly challenge has a useful card in Water element: SETHROPOD!

I think Sethropod is one of the best low mana tanks that can bring many opportunities for teams to form crazy teams. In my battle, I choose to use Sethropod as the second tank that will protect the magic attackers if the first tank dies.

THE BATTLE SET UP

Before diving into the match, I reviewed the previous matches of my opponent. What I saw was that my rival was using the fire team quite often. Thus, I decided to increase the speed of team and add armor to team by using KELYA FRENDUL

In the first position, I chose SERPENT OF ELD because it has high speed and dodge ability. It makes my rival hit the tankless accurately.

Here you can see the role that SETHROPOD plays. There it was responsible for protecting magic attackers from the attacks of ranged and melee attackers incase the first tank dies.

There was a disadvantage that my rival has monsters with opportunity and sneak skills! Normally, it would bring problems if things do not go as I projected. However, everything was smooth as planned. Thanks to Dodge skill, the first tank could stay alive while Sethropod was ready to protect magic attackers with 4 armor and 4 health.

The Result

The result was not surprising. Since my rival did not have magic attackers, Serpent of Eld did not die as it dodged attacks smoothly. Meanwhile, the fragile attackers in my rival's team wiped out the moment they moved to the first position.

In my team, Sethropod would not die as early as these monsters because it is like a tank that can bear 8 damage from them. HUGE!

Watch The Battle to have an idea about my strategy. I prioritized magic attack and protected the magic attackers with 2 solid defenders. At that point, Sethropod was essential to protect my fragile attackers against harsh rival monsters 😉
