Weekly Battle Challenge - XENITH ARCHER
Welcome to a brand new Weekly Battle Challenge. This week we will be focusing on using XENITH ARCHER effectively in our battles.
Since it is a ranged attacker that cannot deal damage in the first line, it is mostly used in the last two positions. Sometimes it is used aggressively; other times it is used as a defender of her hazardous friends.
Here we go!
The Set Up!
In my team set, I decided to go with 3+2+2 magic attack with high speed. What I wanted to achieve was to deal enough damage to the tank of the rival so that I can eliminate it at the beginning of the battle.
At that point, Phoneix, Inferni, Aprentice are the major source of magic attack with 7 points.
In the first line, I did not use a melee attacker!
I used Ash Golem with Close Range ability because it has 9 health points to project the monsters that will wipe the rivals out!
XENITH was in the last position because I needed it as the saver of magic attackers from sneaky attacks in addition to 1 ranged attack.
The Strengths and Weaknesses!
The strong side of my team was that the team was quite fast with 6-4-3 magic attacks. Serpent of Eld has eliminated the moment battle started.
When the defender of my rival was down, it got easier for me to eliminate the source of deadly damage of the rival.
I used a nice defender in the first position (it was a ranged attacker, though).
While defender was standing strong, Xenith was holding the last line so that the magic attack can be penetrated to the rivals as planned.
Standing strong in the middle, 7 magic attacks were enough to wipe them out!
The weakness of my team was that the team set was not well-balanced in terms of melee, ranged and magic attack distribution. In the case that the rival uses Void Armor against my monster, I would not be able to win against the rival.
In addition, if the sneak attacks were not limited to 1 melee attack point, I would not have a team letf to eliminate the rival monsters.
Assuming +1 melee attack for rivals, 2 sneak attacker + 1 opportunity atttack from melee mosters would be enough to wipe out 2 of my monsters in a round.
In that scenario, Phoneix would be the only one left to fight against a whole team.
The Result
I was able to win the match thanks to the team set that I used.
Though the magic attackers seem as the shining stars, both Xenith at the back line to get damage on it and Ash Golem in the first position did an amazing job to sustain the well-being of my magic attackers.
I can suggest you to use Pyre as the summoner to get +1 speed and 3 magic attackers in your Fire Set. When you have Daily Quests with Fire element, it is always better to diversify your deck as the rival can counter your monsters.
Sometimes strong Melee attackers that hunt in a sneaky way can be as useful as magic attacker-based team sets.
