Creating my own Monster aka Art Contest Week 155 Submission - Fan Art by @gcollets

I've been thinking for so long!

Is there a monster that is so close to my heart I could redraw, recreate, re-dream? Definitely, there are some. Let's start with Byzant Kitty, I mean, c'mon, it's a CAT! I have several visions of her flying her fluffy little body towards the moon, or eating her well-deserved dinner after a hard day full of winning battles. But hey, I won't shoot all my ammo at once, right?

So I came up with something else...

Because it's always fun to create something new. I mean, if you try to imagine what kind of beasts can live in the Splinterlands universe, there are endless possibilities.

I decided I will start to discover the deep dark oceans of Azmaré. And acually I found something down there.

Chapter 1: Discovering the waters of Crystalline Harbour

Dear Cousine,

It was only two weeks ago since I left the safety of Shimmer City, but I already have some explorations to share with you.

Yesterday I went to discover the sea creatures of the Crystalline Harbour. I didn't have to dive that deep as I thought I'll have to. It was still quite near to the surface I guess, but it's not hard to loose your senses when going underwater.

I was looking for something new, something frightful, something that is hungry for nwcomers and eats up everything that crosses it's way. A true beast of the ocean.

So I headed towards to the deep darkness. Until...

Until I saw a tiny spark of light. Is it the eye of the monster? Is it the guardian of god Azmaré's treasures? I've heard tales of the endless richness of the underworld. I've heard tales of the beasts keeping out intruders like me.

The tiny spark started to grow, and finally I could see

that it wasn't anything scary. Oh my god, what are you, lil' guy?

He kept swimming towards me, and once he reached me, he was just floating, turning his huge, baby-like head from one side to the other, like he was trying to figure out who am I and what am I doing there. Am I harmful?

His huge, sparkling eyes kept investigating me, but I could feel he is not looking at me, he was looking inside me.

We were staring at eachother for one or two minutes, then suddenly...

He left me there with my questions and swam away like a shot.

I think he knew I didn't wanted to harm him. I was no danger. So he didn't care about me anymore.
It happened all so fast, but I wont forget that mysterious thing as far as I live.

What could it be? Where it came from? What was that srange feeling in my guts, when he looked at me wth his huge crystal-like eyes? That feeling of another entity being in my head, reading my thoughts, even my emotions.

I drew a picture of him, maybe you'll know what it is, or where to look for it.

I attach the pictures to my letter, please make sure no one else can access them until we find out what it is You know what poachers are like, and even though the beast seemed to be friendly, we don't know what he is capable of.

Ps.: Since then I have strange dreams of turning into a sea creature. I don't know if it has anything to do with the beast, but may you find it helpful by the further exploration.

Hello, @gcollects! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! That's an awesome entry into the Splinterlands art contest - I loved reading the back story and the creature you created is wicked cool.

It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member -

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community.

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities . I think you'll find these two particularly interesting to start off with -

Splinterlands

Hive Gaming Community

And given your artistic talents -

OnChainArt

Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide should be helpful to you, as it is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.

Since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, please mention (also known as tagging) @traciyork & @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Lastly, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
