The art of war.... My Splinterlands Art Contest Entry // Week 152

OK, I think I'm finished. I may carry on with this at some point but for now I'm done 😁

Hello to everyone on the forum! This is my first post, and first week playing Splinterlands. I'm having fun, although I feel like I'm slightly late to the party 😬 ...namely missing out on Mylor Crowling for a reasonable price, and that pesky Thorns ability... which brings us on to my artwork.

I'm a graphic designer by trade and have dabbled with various forms of lettering and graffiti style work since I was a kid doodling in class when I should have been working. Credit where its due, I'd recently been checking out Spanish graffiti artist CESER87, who creates his name in some mindblowingly creative ways

So with those things in mind I doodled while working and came up with this sketch...

...which I didn't have room on the paper to finish

Over to Procreate...

...while finishing the outline I had the idea to add LANDS to the... land (its a very literal interpretation πŸ˜‚)

It seems I got so engrossed in the colouring process I forgot to take more screenshots πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ - let me know if you want the process video and I'll upload it!

...As mentioned I've done quite a few graffiti commissions, so if any Splinterlands team are reading and want to do some guerilla advertising, lets make it happen 😁 πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

CONCLUSION: If I had more time to spend I would add more elements from the game.. An axe wedged into the wood, maybe other cards, references/easter eggs in the foreground/background. I think I will continue with it some day so I'd love to hear your suggestions for additions/improvements!

Thanks and happy battling!

Pete
