# Splinter Stats Season 71 Report Card

@gregory-f

I'm a little disappointed in my ranking this season. I expected to reach Diamond 1 again but, in the end, I wasn't able to rise above Diamond 2. I think I'm hitting a lull in my excitement level for playing the game. Everything seems to be taking a long time and the road map showing that we won't be able to use our Land for production until next year kind of took the wind out of my sails. Well, maybe the excitement of SPS validators licenses going on sale next month will recharge my excitement soon.

Wow! I lost a lot of games last season. 1.04 is the lowest Win/Loss ratio I've had in a long time. At least I came close to Diamond 1 this season. With a rating of 3396, I was only 4 points from moving up at some point, but then I hit a losing streak and dropped back a bit.

I received 1 Legendary and 1 Gold Foil common cards this season which is a bit of an improvement over prior seasons. Total DEC rewards from ranked play was up a little bit from last season. But the best part of my rewards was receiving 4 Chaos Legion Packs this season.

Rental income was only about half of last season. This is because I pulled a lot of my rentals off the market and only have a few remaining cards available for rent. I hope to be able to spend a little time this season to go through my cards and put a few back up for rent but at a better rate.

This loss of rental income isn't that big of a deal though, now that DEC has fallen back so far. For the time being I won't be buying a lot of new cards and will just hold the DEC I have and add to my pile from the trickle of rewards and rentals I have coming in every day.

I've stopped staking my SPS income for the time being. I'm saving up to purchase an SPS validator license or two (or three?). The bad news is that leaving a large pile of SPS liquid has caused my Voucher drops and SPS staking rewards to suffer a little. But getting a license for $500 less in the presale beats paying the extra amount for a license in Traunch 1.

At this point, I'm coasting a little in my Splinterlands play. I'm still completing my Daily Quest every day, but that's about it. They haven't announced the sale date yet for SPS validator nodes, but I'll keep saving liquid SPS and Vouchers until I'm confident that I have enough saved up for at least 2 licenses.

Just between you and me, I am considering selling some Vouchers if the price were to go crazy like it did during the Chaos Legion Presale. I think it would be hard for me to pass up selling $20 Vouchers again.

Not a bad though your win rate is lowest among recent season, rental income down but airdrops and cards collection is enabled to recover other revenue.

Well, I can't complain about the drop in rental income too much. I think we all knew it was artificially high there for a while and sooner or later it had to come back down to Earth.

I feel you here, man. I love this game but I'm having a hard time staying excited over it. I'm still doing DQs and I still Brawl with my guildmates, but most of my enthusiasm has shifted toward organizing the guild into a nicer clubhouse.

I haven't been keeping up with rentals as well lately either, for the same reasons. With the price of DEC down it's a lot of time to sift through my collection and decide what I can do with out and what I want to rent out, and even then it's a hassle to go in 2 or 3 times a season to adjust prices.

Additionally, It's only recently really begun to sink in that I don't need a max level collection to remain competitive. It's rare, but occasionally I'll toss in a lvl 3 or 4 common because I just can't seem to find something that looks like it would work better among my higher level cards and it often works out, so I'm beginning to question if it's even worth renting out cards that I don't have multiple copies of.

I've been playing with a Gold level deck since the beginning. Waka was my first Diamond level summoner and I only have a few max level cards to back him up. I'm VERY SLOWLY working on maxing cards in my Death and Neutral splinter to support him. But with the upcoming Validator node sales, I holding off on dropping any money into my deck for now.

BTW, the change in the guild over the last year has been pretty awesome. Definitely keeps it interesting.

I think so, too! Hanging out with you guys is as much fun as playing the game.

Diamond at any level is a nice rank to reach, congrats. These days I usually float around gold and don't do much playing myself. Good luck this season, !BEER, !PIZZA.

Diamond II is my max... I hope one day Diamond I 😀
I can understand you the season before I also arrived at 4 or 5 points of Diamond II but with a series of defeats I remained Diamond III. I was very upset that day... But I'm reassured by seeing the level of our guild, always impressed to be on the podium 👍
