Great ideas!
3D printers are already quite cheap at the moment. I'm not sure if it is feasable to use it as a manufacturing tool on large scale.

Thanks! I've a few more similar posts to come!

There are a whole range of 3D printers, from desktop ones to massive industrial ones, even some that print houses. I reckon that, due to distance and transport costs of parts for other machines, especially agricultural products, 3D printers will fill the niche. I know that during the covid lockdowns, a lot of my friends were cut off because the trucks weren't allowed to run and they couldn't get parts for their irrigations systems. They are looking around at 3D printers to fill the gap.

3D printers also fill another niche - It is relatively easy to make some kinds of filament from recycled plastic. Africa is awesome at recycling!
