New cards, same enthusiasm: my adaptation process and my jump to Silver 1 [Eng/Spa]

This month has been completely crazy. Between new projects and a thousand things starting at once, time seems to fly by. However, in the midst of that chaos, I decided to pick up something that has always given me good times: Splinterlands. And let me tell you, it has been the best decision for those gaps in the mornings or those afternoons of waiting. What used to be downtime is now a rewarding space for strategy and battles.

Este mes ha sido una locura total. Entre nuevos proyectos y mil cosas empezando a la vez, el tiempo parece volar. Sin embargo, en medio de ese caos, decidí retomar algo que siempre me ha dado buenos momentos: Splinterlands. Y les digo algo, ha sido la mejor decisión para esos huecos en las mañanas o esas tardes de espera. Lo que antes era tiempo muerto, ahora es un espacio gratificante de estrategia y batallas.

To be honest, I surprised myself. I managed to reach Silver 1, and although for some this may be an everyday occurrence, for me it's not, because we're dealing with new cards and modes that I didn't know, so this promotion confirms one thing for me: I'm learning. It's not just about throwing cards on the board; it's about understanding the new meta, and seeing the results motivate me a lot to keep clicking the Battle button.

Si les soy sincero, me sorprendí a mí mismo, logré llegar a la liga Silver 1 y aunque para algunos sea algo cotidiano, para mí no lo es porque estamos ante cartas nuevas y modalidades que no conocía, así que este ascenso me confirma una sola cosa: estoy aprendiendo. No se trata solo de tirar cartas al tablero; es entender el nuevo meta, y ver que los resultados llegan me motiva muchísimo a seguir dándole click al botón de Battle.

I've been much more active opening chests (Foundations) and luck (or perseverance) has been on my side. I've been able to level up a couple of key cards that I was missing, a couple of summoners: Those extra level points are what end up defining the game, and a couple of tanks: reinforcing the front line of battle is vital to surviving the current bursts of damage.

He estado mucho más activo abriendo cofres (Foundations) y la suerte (o la constancia) ha estado de mi lado. He podido subir de nivel un par de cartas clave que me estaban haciendo falta, un par de invocadores: Esos puntos extra de nivel son los que terminan definiendo la partida y un par de tanques: reforzar la primera línea de batalla es algo vital para sobrevivir a las ráfagas de daño actuales.

I feel very comfortable playing with the Earth and Death elements. Although in Death I still have the task of leveling up my main summoner.

Me siento muy cómodo jugando con los elementos de Tierra (Earth) y Muerte (Death). Aunque en Muerte todavía tengo la tarea pendiente de subir de nivel a mi invocador principal.

You end up falling in love with certain cards because of how they save your life at the last second. My two current gems are: Dread Tafarian: He has become my tank par excellence; his healing ability makes him a wall that is difficult to break down. He is simply perfect for wearing down your opponent. The other is Giam Root: What a crazy card! As a legendary, his health is everything. Seeing him on the field gives me incredible peace of mind; he is total life insurance.

Uno termina enamorándose de ciertas cartas por cómo te salvan la vida en el último segundo. Mis dos joyas actuales son: Dread Tafarian: Se ha vuelto mi tanque por excelencia, esa capacidad de curación lo hace una muralla difícil de derribar, es simplemente perfecto para desgastar al rival y la otra es Giam Root: ¡Qué locura de carta! Como legendaria, su cantidad de vida lo es todo, verla en el campo me da una tranquilidad increíble; es un seguro de vida total.

The season is almost over, and I feel great ending it this way. Reconnecting with the game, learning mechanics from scratch, and seeing the progress in my collection leaves me quite satisfied.

Ya falta nada para que finalice la temporada y me siento genial cerrando de esta manera. Volver a conectar con el juego, aprender mecánicas desde cero y ver el progreso en mi colección me deja bastante satisfecho.
