When the cannons are heard, the muses are silent

It's been a while since I wrote something, my dear friends. Mostly because of war. A real one. When the cannons are heard, the muses are silent, they say. Some of my fellow citizens believe that we could be next. Those goddamn, greedy orcs... But now let's get back to Splinterlands.

I'm a part of guild now. And that gives a lot of bonuses... but be careful, it comes with the same amount of responsibility. Let me tell you about my first brawl. I have never seen something like that before. It happened in a hot summers day. A pigeon carried a message: "Bring your best creatures. The brawl is on." It was from my guild master. The problem, however, was... That I didn't have a strong army... We were just a bunch of weirdos. Merceneries. I needed merceneries. I went to the marketplace and spent some dec. However, at that point I had no idea, how it's gonna end. The field of rye was on fire, dead tinkerbells... Grum Flameblade was butchered and griffins were feeding on his flesh. Gosh, what a smell it was. Some knights in agony begged to be killed. And then it was over. "Let's rise the goblets to the fallen ones. Go home and have some rest. And be ready for the next brawl," our leader said at the bonefire that night. Next brawl was the same. But then Quora Towershead joined my army. What a woman! She looks like a princess, but in one brawl does more damage than smoking over past hundred years. :D It gets better, but I still need stronger army for the brawl tomorrow. And I wonder, how can you get some extra cards? Does anyone know some contests or something? My budget is smaller than stone golem's heart, so every card counts. Oh, one more thing... Which cards would you suggest to rent for bronze fray?

See you in Pretoria,

Hjordis
