Hello Splinterlands Community,

This is Entry #6 of the soulbound reward cards under the Chaos Legion Edition. Last week I have shared my insight about Possessed Puppet and Wily Coyotian from the death splinter. In this post, I will be sharing my insight and thought for Dumacke Orc and Gobson Bomber from the Neutral Splinter, both having a common rarity.

For those who are new to my post, I usually post information which is related in the Silver/Gold League Modern Format.

💣 Gobson Bomber

• Gobson Bomber specialize in dealing high range damage.

• Looking at the stats, Gobson Bomber do have a baseline range attack of 2 to 3,with a varying speed from 2 to 5 and with an average health from 3 to 5.

• In terms of ability, the recharge ability plays a powerful role where in it multiply the card target by 3x. This recharge is a good combination with the camouflage ability which hides Gobson Bomber in being attack from the backline (except with scattershot).

• Moving up to Gold league, this card does have the piercing ability which increase further the importance of this card. Dealing with armored opponents in the lower league is a tough one as Gobson Bomber only attack every other round but then will only deal towards the armor. With the help of piercing ability, this problem is eliminated starting from Gold league.

• At maximum level, Gobson Bomber do have the fury ability which gives another 2x multiplier if dealing against tank monster with taunt ability.

• Most of the players don't like the recharge ability which is why monster with this ability is seen in the battlefield rarely.

• My personal rating for this card is : 3/5

Combo Cards

In terms of summoner, General Sloan provides the most benefit to improve Gobson Bomber.

Card	Advantage/Disadvantage
General Sloan	General Sloan provides additional range damage which further boost the range attack of Gobson Bomber. By increasing the baseline attack, this increases the final recharge attack and fury attack damage.

In terms of monsters, I don't see a pretty great combination for this card except by having a great tank in the frontline and can sustain the damage taken, can be Baakjira. With this line-up Gobson Bomber will contribute a very decent damage to the frontline.

Counter Cards

In terms of counter cards, monsters with headwind ability are the great cards against Gobson Bomber to futher reduce its damage.

Ilthain can reflect the Gobson Damage attack while Mimosa Nightshade and Quix the Devious reduce its baseline range damage by -1.

👀 Dumacke Orc

• Dumacke Orc is a monster specialize against melee opponents.

• Looking at the stats, Dumacke Orc do have a nice melee attack ranging from 2 to 4 but with a constant speed of 2 and health of 1. The armor of Dumacke Orc ranges from 3 to 8.

• In terms of ability, this card is specialized against melee opponents. The shield ability reduce the physical damage taken by this card.

• Starting from Silver league, this card do have a retalliate ability which gives a chance to perform counter attack when attacked by a melee opponent.

• The thorns ability which will be unlocked in the higher league provide extra damage against melee monster.

• Dumacke Orc main weakness is magic since this card health is only 1 and do not have any void armor. Besides the magic attack, a shatter damage deals a heavy blow for this card as the armor is the only one that protects this card.

• Dumacke Orc is best to use in upclose and personal, equalizer and weak magic ruleset.

• My personal rating for this card is : 4/5

Combo Cards

In terms of summoner, I do believe that Grandmaster Rathe is the best one to use this to convert it's high armor into void armor and in higher league, to enhance the thorn damage.

Grandmaster Rathe	Grandmaster Rathe provides and converts Dumacke Orc high armor into void armor which is effective against magic attack. This helps Dumacke Orc to defend the frontline against magic monsters which are usually in the backline. The amplify gives extra boost to the thorn damage Dumacke Orc can provide.

In terms of monster synergy, I believe that those with repair ability is the best to use with this card to sustain the dealt damage in the armors.

Counter Cards

In terms of counter cards, since Dumacke Orc is protected by armor. The main counter for this card is those abilities with Shatter.

Immortalis from the earth monsters is the main counter against Dumacke Orc because Immortalis grants the shatter.

⚔️ Closing Remarks

Gobson Bomber and Dumacke Orc are both monster from the neutral splinter which plays an important role in the battlefield since these two cards can be use by any splinter as long as the ruleset allows.

Gobson Bomber is a great card that deals a very high damage because of the recharge and fury multiplier bonus. The problem with this card is that this only attack in every other round which means that a sustained frontline is a must in order for this monster to be a fully functional in the battlefield.

On the otherhand, Dumacke Orc is also a great card but specifically in dealing with melee monsters. With the shield, retalliate and thorn ability, these three abilities are all against melee monster. This card can also be substitute to Chaos Knight from the life splinter. The magic is the main weakness of this card due to 1 health, which is why a void armor blessing is needed or the ruleset have the weak magic. This card cannot be use as well when the unprotected ruleset is in play.
