Hello Splinterlands Community,

This is Entry #7 of the soulbound reward cards under the Chaos Legion Edition. Last week I have shared my insight about Dumacke Orc and Gobson Bomber which belongs to the neutral splinter. In this post, I will be sharing my insight and thought for Pyrewatch Devil and the summoner Eternan Brune which are both having a rare rarity.

For those who are new to my post, I usually post information which is related in the Silver/Gold League Modern Format.

😈 Pyrewatch Devil

• Pyrewatch Devil is a low mana cost monster which specialize in range damage and life leech ability.

• Looking at the stats, Pyrewatch Devil for a 3 mana cost deals a great range damage ranging from 1 to 3 with a speed of 2 to 4 and a health of 3 to 4.

• In terms of ability, the most important ability that Pyrewatch Devil have is the life leech ability which increases its health as it attack.

• Moving up to Gold league, this card unlocks the dispel ability which is a good counter against monsters with positive buff and those monsters that affected by the bloodlust and martyr enhancement.

• At diamond league, Pyrewatch Devil have another ability which is the oppress ability which is very effective against monster without any attack. Even this monster is buffed by weapons training, the oppress ability will still deal double damage to that monster.

• Pyrewatch Devil is great to use in little league and place in the backline to further utilize the life leech ability. This card is also good in higher league which is against those monsters such as Pelacor Conjurer and Failed Summoner.

• The close range ruleset is also a great ruleset for this card as when this card have a high health due to its life leech and once it is in the frontline, it acts as a tank due to high health and providing a damage because of the close range ability.

• My personal rating for this card is : 3/5

Combo Cards

In terms of summoner, Yodin Zaku is the best summoner for this card while the other summoners may not have impact much to this card performance.

Yodin Zaku	Yodin Zaku is a powerful card especially when paired with a range monster as it provides extra range damage and a blast ability which gives a destructive blast. Pyrewatch Devil combined with Zaku provides a very strong combo especially with little league ruleset.

In terms of monsters, as long as the frontline monster can hold the front then Pyrewatch Devil can perform its life leech increasing and stacking its health. This card can be a good tank in the late round so a monster behind him should be present if there is no close range ruleset.

This card is effective against the kinds of Pelacor Conjurer and Failed Summoner which often use as a tank in the frontline.

Counter Cards

In terms of counter cards, monsters with headwind ability are the great cards against Pyrewatch Devil to futher reduce its damage.

Ilthain can reflect the Pyrewatch Devil attack while Mimosa Nightshade and Quix the Devious reduce its baseline range damage by -1.

Eternan Brune

• Eternan brune is the soulbound reward card summoner for the fire splinter.

• Eternan Brune reduce the armor of the opponents by 2 and can summon 1 gladiator card in the rank battle and tournament. For brawl, it can provide extra 1 gladiator card in the battlefield.

• In terms of the summoning level, it is the same with the core summoners. The main difference is the mana cost it needs which is more than 2.

• In terms of ability, this card removes the opponent's monster armor by 2.

• Eternan Brune main purpose is to use the gladiator card in the battlefield. If you have not enough gladiator card in your league, then it is not a good choice to use Eternan Brune.

• In my old post, these are the gladiator card from the Fire splinter which will be summon by Eternan Brune: The Champion of the Arena - Fire Team .

🔥 Closing Remarks

Pyrewatch Devil seems to be a powerful card for little league as this card is somehow like Merdhampir from the water splinter which furhter increase its health. This card is also a good against no attack monsters in higher league and can calm down monsters affected by bloodlust and martyr.
