With Valentine's Day approaching on February 14th, I looked for inspiration to create a simple yet loving couple's keepsake. On Pinterest, I found reference images of cute animals that I really liked for a special gift, so I decided to design them with foam clay. I know it's not much, but it's my way of expressing myself through art.

Con la llegada del 14 de febrero, San Valentín, busqué inspiración para crear algún detalle de pareja sencillo y con amor. Encontré en Pinterest imágenes de referencia de animales tiernos que me gustan mucho para un regalo especial, pues decidí diseñarlos en foami clay. Sé que no es mucho, pero es mi manera de expresarme mediante el arte.

    STEP/PASO 1

    In the initial phase, I start by taking a portion of clay in beige and pink color for the body of the animated. Then, with his hands he molded each color into balls, giving them a curious finish.

    Next, I'll shape the body parts of the figurines: their heads, ears, paws, and hands—adding new shades of caramel and red for their clothing items, always giving it my very best.

    Finally, we work on their faces—adding their eyes and the gentleman's hat with a tie—using violet, black, and white for the shine on both little figures. This design is a bit more complex, since the parts are smaller when it comes to molding.

    Ya por último, realizamos en los rostros, sus ojos y el sombrero de caballero con corbata, utilizando los colores violeta, negro y blanco para el brillo de ambos muñequitos. Este diseño es un poco más complejo, pues son más pequeñas las partes a la hora de moldear.
