Splinterlands Art Contest | The Summoner Valnamor made with foam clay. (Tutorial) [ENG] [ESP]

Hello!! @diyhub family, art lovers and crafters. Today I'm going to show you how to make the summoner Valnamor from the Splinterlands saga using foam clay. I hope you all like the creation, and I'm super happy to share my experience with this flexible material. Join me!

Below, I'll show you step by step how I made my work. To start, I'll list all the materials used:

Hola!! familia Diyhub, amantes del arte y trabajos manuales. El día de hoy les enseñaré a realizar con foami moldeable (foam clay) al invocador Valnamor de la saga Splinterlands. Espero les guste la creación, a toda la comunidad en general y yo súper contento en presentarles mi experiencia con este material flexible. ¡Acompáñame!

What is the play-to-earn game Splinterlands?

It is a blockchain-based collectible card game (Play-to-Earn/P2E) where players can earn cryptocurrency and token rewards while playing.

If you enjoy card games and cryptocurrencies, "Splinterlands" is a great way to earn while having fun. Personally, I enjoy it even more by creating custom artwork of the card characters.

¿Qué es el juego play2earn Splinterlands?

Es un juego de cartas coleccionables blockchain del tipo Play-to-Earn (P2E), donde los jugadores pueden ganar recompensas en criptomonedas y tokens mientras juegan.

Si te gustan los juegos de cartas y las criptomonedas, "Splinterlands" es una buena opción para ganar mientras te diviertes. Por mi parte lo disfruto más creando arte personalizado de los personajes de cartas.

The summoner Valnamor gives the water team that much-needed strength to finish off the enemy in just a few battle rounds, increasing speed and extending the life of allied monsters. This summoner is known for his speed underwater. He is found in the Beta cards.

Legends say he was born in the ocean—literally. He came out of his mother and fell straight into the water. Against all odds, Valnamor not only survived childhood but eventually grew up, gave himself a name, and became a formidable summoner.

El invocador Valnamor, le dará al equipo de agua esa fuerza tan necesaria para acabar al enemigo en pocas rondas de la batalla, aumentara la velocidad y alargara la vida de los monstruos aliados. Este invocador se conoce por su rapidez debajo del agua. Lo encontramos en las cartas Beta.

Las Historias dicen que nació en el océano, literalmente. Salió de su mamá y se dejó caer directamente al agua. Contra todo pronóstico, Valnamor no sólo sobrevivió a la infancia, sino que finalmente creció, se puso un nombre y se convirtió en un formidable invocador.

In the initial phase, I start by taking a portion of clay in beige color for the development of the body in the creature. Then, with his hands he molded them into a ball shape, giving them a curious finish.

En la fase inicial, comienzo tomando una porción de arcilla en color beige para el desarrollo del cuerpo en la criatura. Luego, con las manos moldeó en forma de bola, dándoles una terminación curiosa.

Next, I work on the moving parts of the summoner—his head, his ears, his battle suit, his hair, his feet, and his arms—always giving it my best.

Seguidamente, desarrollo las partes del movimiento en el invocador, su cabeza, sus orejas, su traje de combate, el cabello, los pies y sus brazos, siempre dando lo mejor de mi.

Finally, I do the finishing touches on his face, his defensive trident, and his eyes, using green, gray, blue, black, and white for the highlights. This design is a bit more complex, since the parts are smaller when it comes to molding.

Creating this character in foam clay was a lot of fun, family, because its combination of vibrant colors was spectacular, and it has a cute appearance in its Kawaii version.

Ya por último, realizamos los retoques finales en su cara, su tridente de defensa y ojos, utilizando los colores verde, gris, azul, negro y blanco para el brillo. Este diseño es un poco más complejo, pues son más pequeñas las partes a la hora de moldear.

Crear este personaje en foami clay fue muy divertido familia, porque su complicidad en cuanto a colores vivos era espectacular, presenta una bonita apariencia en cuanto a la versión Kawaii.
