Portal Spinner Share your battle

Lore

Portals Spinners are members of the Cult of the Rift, a faction within the Chaos Legion that harnesses rift magic to cast deadly spells.

Portal Spinners siphon life magic from their surroundings to open mini-rifts in the fabric of reality. Some thought to use these portals to travel between realms. However, after attempting to do so, many a Portal Spinner was consumed by whatever foul beasts dwelled on the other side of the portal. Others emerged... rearranged... and either dead or wishing they were dead.

Now, Portal Spinners simply use their portals to launch chaotic and random attacks against their enemies. They might open one portal beneath a fallen sword, boulder, or other weapon of convenience and a second portal above their enemies, sending the weapon through the rift and crashing down on its unsuspecting victim.

If facing enemies capable of flight, Portal Spinners have been known to use their portals to drop nets upon their foes, grounding them.

Ruleset

Healed Out: All Healing abilities are removed from Summoner and Monsters
Reverse Speed: Monsters with lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

Lineup

Summoner: General Sloan
Tank: ShieldBearer
Second Position: Hero from Beyond
Third Position: Prismologist
Fourth Position: Evangelist
Fifth Position: Pelacor Arbalest
Sixth Position: Portal Spinner

Strategy

My strategy with a 44 mana life splinter is to put up a taunt with a lot of firepower behind the taunt.
Portal Spinner is a 5 mana monster which has the ability to bypass taunt and also not hit the first non melee monster.

During this battle my opponent and I choose similar layouts of cards. Shieldbearer followed with assorted ranged monsters.
My opponent chose to use disintegrator which cost them one attack. My oponnent choose to use two monsters with snipe which took out my third position card Prismologist. The card had already attacked during the second round to reduce them by 5 health. I was able to take out three of their monsters in the second round which greatly reduced their effectiveness. My monsters quickly finished off theirs in the third round.
The splintertools website shows that I had a 70% chance of winning the battle.

I like to use the tool to check why I lose a battle and if I had a chance to win with my lineup.

Conclusion Do you like Portal Spinner?

I like the Portal Spinner but have a hard time choosing it in battle. It's unpredictable results can hurt as well as help with any battle.

Yes it helps a lot when it takes out one of their heavy hitters.

Nice match. Once you got their ranged cards in the first position and they could not attack, that is when I think the tide changed on the battle much into your favor. Take care.
