Interesting predictions on things. I'm not even 3 months into my Splinterlands journey and it has been quite the learning experience. I literally dropped 1.8k of matic for 1.8k sps to drop to about 900 worth, but it was a rude awakening and a great lesson. Good to know I'll see if it drops more and just add to position.
Or would you recommend I sell some at a loss and try to pick some as it dips? Aren't vouchers still going to exist?

Ouch, and MATIC has done well to recently.
I wouldn't advise anyone do anything, but I personally don't sell at a loss and all the SPS I've got staked is staying staked. The only reason I'd unstake it is if I needed the funds to pool with something temporarily for a better return.
