I really like that they plan to change that "Over the past year or so, the company has been prioritizing short-term revenue over long term sustainability".
All these 'hypes' and 'races' to reward especially big whales who bought the most within the shortest time span, while many smaller players felt that nothing of the rewards had been left for them was not really a good motivation to steadily grow one's deck step by step. A good product should not need it be built mainly on fomo!

I really hate to see that @weirdbeard leaves the company. He was hope and inspiration for many players who without him already would have left Splinterlands since a long time.
