Last month, I was going on all fire splinter cards. This time around, I will step out from my comfort zone and create a female character. And I am planning to do all water splinter cards this month.😁

Join me walk through the process of creation and hope you have fun as the art progress from the start to finish.

Digital Art Process

In the first image, I started with a sketch for the pose and composition of the character. 🙂 I imagine her casting some water spell. I also want to highlight that octopus in her wand because it looks interesting.🦑

In the middle image, I did the line art nothing fancy it's like inking with the pencil sketch you already drawn.😁

Last image is where I did the base colors. It's like a coloring a drawing book full on line arts.

In here, I added the shadow and highlights. Shadows are set to multiply and highlights are set to overlay.

In the middle image, I start to render the female character. Oh! I love that laughing smile, she looks so mean. 😈

Third image, is where I render the staff/wand. I decided to change the color to add variations to it not just blueish color.

And here, I render the octopus guy. I think this octopus is so powerful that it merges with the staff, just my speculation.🦑

In the next image, I add the water spell (splassshhhh)😁🌊

Lastly, I add the background and finished the illustration. I also put it in a card border to make it stylish see image below.👇

I'm really happy with the result.😌 Stepping out of my comfort zone doing things that challenging is really fun. And by far I nailed it 😁 I definitely see my improvements in every art piece I made.

I will be adding this to my collection of fan art and compile it by the end of this year.😌
