Dax Paragon - Social Media Challenge
Hello to all the Splinterlands community, this time I want to show you a fanart I made for the Splinterlands weekly challenge, the card I selected this time is called Dax Paragon, the character design I really liked and I wanted to do it my way, this is a card of the splinter of life of the Chaos Legion.
In the elaboration of this drawing, I was looking for a pose that represented him to then make the main characteristics of this character, in the following text I am going to show you the lore of this card which is the following:
Hola a toda la comunidad de Splinterlands, en esta ocasión les quiero enseñar un fanart que hice para el desafió semanal de Splinterlands, la carta que seleccione en esta ocasión tiene como nombre Dax Paragon, el diseño del personaje me gusto mucho y lo quise realizar a mi manera, esta es una carta del splinter de vida de las Chaos Legion
En la elaboración de este dibujo, estuve buscando una pose que lo representara para luego ir haciéndole las principales características de este personaje, en el siguiente texto les voy el lore de esta cartas que es la siguiente:
Dax knew nothing but a life of luxury since the time he was born. Growing up in a mansion overflowing with the finest of items, his wealthy parents were business and landowners that dominated the competition in the city of Lyveria. Their business was called Paragon Enterprises. An only child, Dax was often left to his own devices as his parents ran their enterprise. Often it felt like the entire mansion was his to do with as he pleased.
When he became old enough, Dax was given his large inheritance to begin his own sect of his family's business, which he called Dax's Consultations. He would be called upon by the wealthy, the greedy, and the powerful to consult for them. He would analyze their business practices, their competition, and provide advice. He became renowned for his success, and was thought of as the “secret ingredient” to any tycoon's business. And because of this, Dax soon became immersed in a world of spoils. He lived a fast life of luxury, of gold, and of stabbing anyone in the back that tried to cross him. Often literally.
When the Chaos Legion turned their eye on Dax, he looked right back and was intrigued. He saw new power that he hadn't yet known. He communicated with their intermediaries until the day the Chaos Legion invaded the Splinterlands. Dax was then graced with an audience before Silus of the Rift himself. During this conversation, Dax proved himself well-informed, cunning, and ambitious. He was given the opportunity to be an advisor for the most powerful person he'd ever come across. Dax now serves closely at Silus' side, advising him on strategies to control the Splinterlands.
Dax no conoció otra cosa que una vida de lujo desde que nació. Sus adinerados padres, que crecieron en una mansión rebosante de los mejores objetos, eran empresarios y terratenientes que dominaban la competencia en la ciudad de Lyveria. Su negocio se llamaba Empresas Paragon. Hijo único, Dax solía estar solo mientras sus padres dirigían la empresa. A menudo tenía la sensación de que toda la mansión era suya para hacer con ella lo que quisiera.
Cuando creció lo suficiente, Dax recibió su gran herencia para empezar su propia secta del negocio familiar, a la que llamó Consultas de Dax. Los ricos, los codiciosos y los poderosos acudían a él para que les asesorara. Analizaba sus prácticas empresariales, su competencia y les daba consejos. Se hizo famoso por su éxito y se le consideraba el "ingrediente secreto" de los negocios de cualquier magnate. Y por ello, Dax pronto se vio inmerso en un mundo de botín. Cuando la Legión del Caos puso sus ojos en Dax, él devolvió la mirada y se sintió intrigado. Vio un nuevo poder que aún no conocía. Se comunicó con sus intermediarios hasta el día en que la Legión del Caos invadió las Tierras Esparcidas. Dax fue entonces agraciado con una audiencia ante el mismísimo Silus de la Grieta. Durante esta conversación, Dax demostró estar bien informado, ser astuto y ambicioso. Se le dio la oportunidad de ser consejero de la persona más poderosa con la que jamás se había cruzado. Ahora Dax sirve estrechamente al lado de Silus, aconsejándole sobre estrategias para controlar las Tierras Esparcidas.
Process
For the creation of this character I had to keep the same essence of the character that represents in the reference so I was looking for several poses to represent all the characteristics of the character, having all these key points I started with the sketch of the character making several guide lines to locate all the necessary elements.
Para la creación de este personaje tuve que mantener la misma esencia del personaje que representa en la referencia así que estuve buscando varias poses para representar todas las características del personaje, teniendo todos estos puntos claves empece con el boceto del personaje haciendo varias lineas guías para ir ubicando todos los elementos necesarios.
Having the right proportions of the fanart I continued with the color application, in which I applied a color palette according to that of the character. Selecting a base tone not too saturated.
Teniendo las proporciones adecuadas del fanart seguí con la aplicación de color,en la cual aplique una paleta de color de acuerdo con la del personaje. Seleccionando un tono base no muy saturado
At this stage I started adding details to the character by placing some blue lights in the formation of the sphere of power that the character has, in the eyes I used a green color and from there I was adding depth to the character.
En esta etapa le empece agregando los detalles al personaje colocándole unas luces de color azul por formación de la esfera de poder que tiene el personaje, en los ojos utilice un color verde y a partir de hay fui agregando profundidad al personaje.
To finish the whole creation process I added final details such as glows around the sphere that has the character
Para finalizar todo el proceso de creación agregue detalles finales como brillos alrededor de la esfera
