Mylor Crowling - Splinterlands Art Contest Week
Hello to all the Splinterlands community, I hope you are well, this time I want to share a digital drawing to participate in the art contest in this week of Splinterlands, for this I took as reference a summoner named Mylor Crowling from the Splinter of Earth from the Dice collection. The story of this card is the following:
Hola a toda la comunidad de Splinterlands, espero se encuentren bien, en esta ocasion les quiero compartir un dibujo digital para participar en el concurso de arte en esta semana de Splinterlands, para ello tome como referencia un invocador llamado Mylor Crowling del Splinter de Tierra de la colección Dice. La historia de esta carta es la siguiente:
"Although the Magi hates to admit it, Mylor is the most gifted student who has attended Summoners' Green in many years. In his hundreds of years, the Magi has taught many students whose ambition exceeded reason and morality. When he looks into Mylor's eyes, the Magi still sees a power-greedy child. Against the headmaster's wishes, Mylor responded to a Gloridax invitation to Mount Mox and now summons competitively in the tournaments. His style is wild and reckless and he laughs while summoning, like it is all a big game."
"Aunque Magi odia admitirlo, Mylor es el estudiante más talentoso que ha asistido a Summoners' Green en muchos años. En sus cientos de años, Magi ha enseñado a muchos estudiantes cuya ambición excedía la razón y la moralidad. Cuando mira a Mylor a los ojos, Magi todavía ve a un niño ávido de poder. En contra de los deseos del director, Mylor respondió a una invitación de Gloridax al Monte Mox y ahora invoca competitivamente en los torneos. Su estilo es salvaje e imprudente y se ríe mientras invoca, como si todo fuera un gran juego."
In this drawing I focused especially on the character's face, applying a style similar to anime characters, but keeping certain characteristics of the human face. As in every drawing, I had to look for a reference to guide me with the idea I had for the main character of the post. I found an image with the main features I was looking for, and I began to elaborate the drawing, finishing it in approximately 7 hours. Below, I will show several images of the creation process of this character.
En este dibujo me enfoqué especialmente en el rostro del personaje, aplicando un estilo similar a los personajes de anime, pero manteniendo ciertas características del rostro humano. Como en todo dibujo, tuve que buscar una referencia para poder guiarme con la idea que tenía para el personaje principal del post. Encontré una imagen con las características principales que estaba buscando, empecé a elaborar el dibujo, culminándolo en aproximadamente 7 horas. A continuación, voy a mostrar varias imágenes del proceso de creación de este personaje.
Process
In the sketching phase, I started by drawing several guide lines until I achieved a similarity with the image I found on Pinterest. I made several adjustments to the proportions of the anime-style face with smaller eyes and then moved on to the coloring stage.
En la fase de boceto, comencé trazando varias líneas guía hasta lograr una semejanza con la imagen que encontré en Pinterest. Realicé varios ajustes en las proporciones del rostro del estilo anime con unos ojos más pequeños para luego pasar a la etapa de coloreado.
