Aim True ruleset in Splinterlands - I just did not consider all the aspects...

This is @jdike back from vacation only to run into the festive season :D
So wishing all dear readers of this post some nice and cozy days off!

While I have been away Rebellion got finally released and I still do not own a single card. To me it feels a bit like this is the start of the end. I really miss the joy and anticipation I experienced when Chaos Legion was about to be released. :(

Btw. any news about the Tower Defense game release? :(((

So it is time for something more joyful: "Aim True" is the ruleset of the week.

And it has the following rules: "Melee and Ranged attacks will always hit their target.
This applies to magic attacks even if the Phase ability is in play."

So basically there should be no "missed" attacks in a match with this ruleset. Thus again this works as kind of a boost for Melee and Ranged attack units.

Here is a battle of mine with "Aim True" rule option:

When I first saw the line-ups I thought this looked good for me. I had Oshannus as some kind of damage dealing tank and my opponent had rather weak units. So I thought.

Okay my first thoughts had been way too superficial. Oshannus got his attack decreased and his superior speed did not help him to dodge enemy attacks. "Aim True" ruleset played its role, my opponent's units just kept hitting, because thanks to "Aim True" they could not miss.

Still I thought I did not too bad with my opponent's Venari Marksrat in front, I was about to take my opponent's second unit off the board.

So I did, but unfortunately this was the point of time when things got sour for me.
My opponent's next unit in line got strengthened by Marksrat's "Martyr" ability and afterwards had 2 Magic attack. This was enough to hurt Oshannus and also itself.

So my Oshannus also left the board, way too soon. And I had barely enough firepower left to still win the game. My opponent on the other hand got only more and more health.

So long story short: I lost! :/

Did "Aim True" ruleset play a role? -I think yes, it did! Oshannus is way more effective if attacks can miss him. Thanks to his superior speed this happens quite often. Just not in this match and this ruleset...

So yes, "Aim True" has some relevance. But even of more relevance was my poor idea of relying on Oshannus which was weakened not only by "Aim True" ruleset, but also by my opponent's summoner.
