Odd Ones Out ruleset in Splinterlands - The more units the better

So folks we are in another week and in another round of sharing battles out of the Splinterverse!
Again it seems to me like a quiet week with the usual obstacles of a bear market, but no big news from the dev team. My impression is that somehow it becomes a little bit quiet in the Splinterverse.

So let me make some noise by sharing one of my battles in the Splinterverse!

My post's topic is "Odd Ones Out" ruleset in Splinterlands.

Again simple rules: "Only units with odd mana costs may be used.
Summoners are not affected by this rule."

So good thing here in the fineprint is you are not in danger of missing a summoner because of this ruleset.

So it is a match of magic vs. melee attack here. Also I have some leveled (=golden) units while my opponent goes with unleveled cards.

Already the start of Round 1 was beneficial for me with my opponent's Chaos Agent leaving the board. And my opponent's Serpentine Spy followed likewise after being struck by my Mycelic Morphoid's thorns ability.

So although my (cheap) tank Hill Giant also left the field, my opponent's Living Lava was already so badly damaged that it was about to leave the board soon, as well.

So by Round 3 it was a clear thing: Victory for me.

So what is the most remarkable thing in this fight: It pays off to have a wide choice of units available for your lineups!
Although I always like to play the Hill Giant it barely sees any action, because most of the time there are better choices for me to select for lineup. However the combination of rule-modules in Splinterlands can sometimes lead to rarely used units being most efficient for a given battle.

Here my edge was to have a wide selection of cheap units with uneven mana costs available.
My opponent on the other side went with more basic "evergreens" and lost. Perhaps some other cards which are less used in battles would have given him the upperhand in this battle.

So here it goes: The more units you can choose from the better! :D
