Battle Mage Secrets "Armored Up " A Battle Lineup for Defense and Sustainability

avatar

Welcome fellow Battlers! It's time for another edition of "Battle Mage Secrets," and we're gearing up for an epic battle with the "Armored Up" ruleset. As a seasoned player, I can tell you that Armored Up is one of the most exciting rulesets out there, but when Immortalis joined the fray, it really shook things up. Even the mighty Legionnaire Alvar couldn't withstand the challenge! It was a true "man oh man" moment that left us all on the edge of our seats. So get ready, because this battle is going to be one for the ages!

RULESET: Armored Up

Are you ready for the ultimate battle?
The battle is set to be an epic showdown with not one, not two, but three challenging rulesets: Silenced Summoner, Reversed Speed, and Armored Up. And to make things even more interesting, it has a maximum of 44 mana to work with and only one Splinter which is water.

THE LINE UP:

When it comes to the magic or Armored Up rulesets, Legionnaire Alvar is one of the best tanks out there. That's why I've positioned him in the first slot, ready to take on whatever comes his way. With his impressive armor and a range of abilities like Void Armor, Giant Killer, Demoralize, and Deathblow, he's perfectly suited to soak up melee, range, and magic damage.
As we all know, the primary role of a tank is to stay alive and keep the rest of the team safe, and Legionnaire Alvar excels at this task. His impressive armor and abilities allow him to withstand even the toughest attacks and emerge victorious. So if you're looking for a reliable tank to lead your team into battle in these rulesets, look no further than Legionnaire Alvar.

In case Legionnaire Alvar is unable to withstand the damage, I have placed Djiin Oshannus in the second position as a backup tank. Although primarily known for its magic attack damage, Djiin Oshannus is also a competent tank in its own right.
With abilities like Void, Phase, and Forcefield, as well as decent speed, Djiin Oshannus is especially effective at absorbing magic damage. Its Forcefield ability also allows it to deflect attacks with a damage value of 5 or more, at the cost of only 1 damage to itself. This makes it a valuable asset in any battle, as it can help protect the rest of your team from incoming magic damage.

For the third slot, I have chosen River Hellondale for its powerful "Resurrect" ability, which complements the tankiness of Legionnaire Alvar in the first position. With this ability, River Hellondale can bring back Legionnaire Alvar from the dead, allowing it to regain its armor and continue to soak up damage.
This makes Legionnaire Alvar an even more formidable tank, as the opponent will need to inflict enough damage to remove all its armor again. In the meantime, the other monsters on your team can continue to damage the opponent's deck.

Adding Angelic Mandarin to the lineup is a strategic move, as it serves as a support monster with its useful abilities. Its Triage ability allows it to heal the most damaged monster on the team, ensuring that your team stays healthy and in the game.
In addition, Angelic Mandarin's Silenced ability is also a great asset in battle, as it can reduce the magic damage of magic monsters by one. This can be especially useful when facing opponents with strong magic-based attacks.
Furthermore, with a "Taunt Monster" positioned in the last slot, Angelic Mandarin's healing ability becomes even more crucial. As the "Taunt Monster" takes on all the damage from the opponent's attacks, except for the first position, it will require frequent healing to stay in the game.

Venari Wavesmith is a solid pick for the team, not only because of its additional magic damage, but also because of its ability to provide armor to the entire team. With 2 armor added to each monster, this makes it even more difficult for opponents to defeat the already tanky Legionnaire Alvar, as its sustainability relies heavily on armor.
This added armor also benefits the rest of the team, making them more resilient to attacks and allowing them to last longer in the battle. With Venari Wavesmith's contribution, the team's overall survivability is greatly increased, making it a force to be reckoned with.

Wave Brood serves as a useful "soaker" for all the damage that the opponents dish out. With its high health pool, it can absorb a lot of damage before going down, making it a valuable asset in the lineup.
In addition, the combination of Wave Brood and Angelic Mandarin's Triage ability make it even more difficult for opponents to take down. As the most damaged monster in the team is healed, Wave Brood's high health pool is sustained, making it more difficult for opponents to eliminate it from the battle.
Furthermore, Wave Brood's Void ability adds to its survivability, as it can deflect magic damage from opponents. This is especially useful in a battle where opponents are relying more on magic-based attacks.

And That's It! Victory!!!

My Final Thoughts Through This Battle

Based on the team lineup and the chosen rule set of Silenced Summoner, Reversed Speed, and Armored Up, I think this team has a strong chance of winning the battle.

The use of Legionnaire Alvar as the first position tank is a solid strategy, especially with its Void Armor, Giant Killer, Demoralize, and Deathblow abilities. Its ability to withstand damage and deal damage in return makes it a formidable opponent.

Djiin Oshannus as the secondary tank also adds to the team's survivability, especially with its Void, Phase, and Forcefield abilities. Its decent speed and magic attack damage also make it a good addition to the team.

The inclusion of River Hellondale with its Resurrect ability is a smart choice, as it adds to the sustainability of the team by allowing Legionnaire Alvar to be resurrected and regain its armor.

Angelic Mandarin's Triage ability and Silenced ability also make it a valuable support monster, allowing the team to heal the most damaged monster and reduce the magic damage of magic monsters by one.

Lastly, the addition of Venari Wavesmith with its magic damage and armor support further strengthens the team's defense and offense capabilities.

Overall, I believe this team has a strong chance of winning the battle, but of course, the outcome ultimately depends on the opponent's lineup and strategy.

Short Summary
In this battle lineup with the Silenced Summoner, Reversed Speed, and Armored Up ruleset, the team composition focuses on sustaining and defending with tanks and support monsters. Legionnaire Alvar is set as the first position tank with Djiin Oshannus as the secondary tank, both with strong abilities to withstand damage. River Hellondale with its Resurrect ability adds to the team's sustainability, while Angelic Mandarin's Triage ability and Silenced ability make it a valuable support monster. Venari Wavesmith's magic damage and armor support further strengthen the team's defense and offense capabilities. Overall, this team has a strong chance of winning the battle with its focus on defense and sustainability.
