What's New?

Get ready, Splinterfam Land 1.5 is set to make its debut this August! Attention, landowners: Are you prepared for the upcoming release? To those who haven't acquired land yet, seize the opportunity by exploring the market. Remarkably, you can snag a common land accompanied by a building in a box for just $45 at the moment.

Don't miss out on the chance to secure NFT cards, especially during the current bear market. These cards can serve a dual purpose – not only for your lands if you possess any, but also for engaging in ranked battles to earn valuable SPS tokens.

Exciting news from the modern league front: The community's unanimous decision to eliminate automation services and bots from modern league has led to a substantial increase in the prize pool. Embrace the thrill and participate in the modern league – it's where you'll find greater rewards awaiting you.

The journey towards our desired destination in Splinterlands is becoming increasingly exhilarating as we draw nearer. Get ready to experience the next level of excitement!

As the release of Land 1.5 approaches this August, are the landowners fully prepared for its arrival?

With the upcoming release of Land 1.5, a significant cards sink will be introduced. Players will be required to stake maximum-level cards, spanning across common, rare, epic, and legendary categories, to facilitate this feature's functionality within the land system.

Furthermore, a potential concern arises regarding the availability of DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) for land-related activities. The current supply of DEC is insufficient to cover the demands that may arise if all 150,000 lands are surveyed and put to use. Each land plot necessitates a staking of 50,000 DEC, resulting in a cumulative requirement of 7,500,000 million DEC. Unfortunately, the circulating supply of DEC stands at 4,671,140 million, falling short of the total DEC needed to adequately support all lands.

Seize the opportunity to acquire DEC at its discounted price, along with valuable cards, as a preemptive move before the card sink . The potential scarcity of cards due to the card sink could impact availability for ranked battles. If you're currently renting cards, brace yourself for potentially higher rental costs, whereas owning your deck offers a more stable position and the potential for increased earnings.

Conversely, the landscape may see a substantial shift in card values, driven by their newfound utility and the interconnected dynamics of DEC and SPS (Splinterlands Governance token). Notably, the need to burn SPS to DEC could lead to an appreciable rise in the value of the Governance token SPS.
