Use Ai to make Splinterlands better CONTEST

2743.jpg

How's it going fellow Splinterlanders? The current community engagement challenge is to create your own contest, so I've decided to share mine with you all. This is something I've thought a lot about over the years, so I hope you like it and that it helps make our game truly better....

The Challenge:

Use Ai tools (like Grok, Midjourney, Flux, Leonardo, Kling, Runway, Luma, or any others) to improve our game in any way.

I’ve been playing Splinterlands for a long time now, and I keep seeing how fast Ai is getting better. It feels like the perfect time for our community to jump in and start using these tools to push the game forward. Whether you’re a total beginner with Ai or already experimenting, there’s something here for everyone to try. The goal is simple: take any part of Splinterlands and make it cooler, more engaging, or just plain better using Ai.

Examples

3D Animate Your Battles
Ever since this game came out we've been trying to lure others with screenshots of our battles. I'm sorry, but to non-Splinterlanders this looks kinda lame. Why can't the game or streamers turn our boring 2D lineups into something epic looking? The technology is here now, so let's use it!

Imagine taking a screenshot of your latest ranked battle and turning it into a short 3D animated clip where your monsters are actually moving, attacking, and looking badass. Streamers could use these for highlight reels, and we could post them everywhere to pull in new players. Ai video tools are looking as good as what Hollywood can produce so let's use it to our advantage.

Redesign Old Cards

Like some of you, I've been playing Splinterlands since the Alpha/Beta days and have watched the art evolve over that time. That said, looking back at some of those early cards I think it's time for a redesign. Surely the team doesn't want to spend time doing this, but Ai could do this for us.

Some of the oldest cards still have some charm, but the quality just doesn’t match what we see in newer sets anymore. I’ve tried a few times with Grok and ChatGPT to refresh them, but I’m not getting the best results yet. Maybe the community can do something way better than I have so far. Let’s see some fresh takes that keep the spirit of the original card while bringing the visuals up to today’s standards.

New Artwork
I don't know if this is possible with current Ai, but it would be cool if we could put EVERY card ever made in Splinterlands and ask it to create a new card based on the already established artistic style and even to fill in any weak spots or solutions to any OP cards that get overused.
We’ve got hundreds of cards with a very specific look and feel. Feeding the whole collection into a strong Ai image tool and asking it to generate consistent new artwork (or even balance suggestions through visual tweaks) could be a game-changer. It might help the devs spot creative ways to refresh underused cards or give the community fresh ideas for future sets.

Videos
One of the coolest new things Ai can do now is making realistic videos, so let's get it cranking out cool videos to promote our game and share to social media!
