Hello! Happy Weekend! 🥳

While typing for this blog, I am listening to the onboarding webinar of HivePH. I also posted about the webinar to invite some peeps to hop on to Hive wagon. One person showed an interest but she is not on the webinar tonight. So probably I will check on her again. Maybe she forgot about the webinar.

My day went well. Heavy rain and thunder. The lighting is scary tho. 😆

I chose Vulguine for this week!

Let's turn this scary fox into a cute chibi! 😌 This card reminds me of an anime character named Kirara of Inu Yasha.

Art Process

To begin, I scrolled through Pinterest for a cute fox. Aha! This is a perfect pose for this card. I started first with a soft brush. I just want to position all the details, especially on the face. This is just a rough sketch and then on the next frame, I drew it with a solid black brush. I made sure to position the character in the center.

I choose a muted pink, almost like a brown color for the background. I think it complemented the color of the inner ear and the eyes. I drew and color the eyes first just to get the vibe of the character. The fur is a bit grayish, not totally white. Added the black nails in a separate layer.

Adding another clipped layer on top of the fur, I chose a blue-ish gray for the shadows. I chose a flat brush and blend the colors together to get the fur texture.

The details of the fox are mainly the "tattoos" around the body. I used a darker color of red here using a g-pen. The tip of the pen gives the shape of the forehead, chest, and arms designs.

I added a pin light of cyan blue on the left side, and then on the right is the glow from the fire tail. For the fire, I used g-pen and then used the liquify tool. I just put another layer for the orange and yellow color. I really like how the glow turned out on the eyes.

Final Art

Adding more fire around the fox is just g-pen and then blur them out. I just copy pasted one and then use the liquify tool. I put all the layers in one folder and copy paste them. Merge them all and make the layer larger for the background.
