Today I come to share another of my drawings inspired by one of the Splinterlands game cards, and thus participate in your Weekly Contest #283.

Hoy vengo a compartir otro de mis dibujos inspirados en una de las cartas del juego Splinterlands, y de esta manera participar en su Concurso Semanal #283.

The card that inspired my drawing is called Lorna Shine.

As soon as I saw it I knew it would be the one I would draw, as it made me think of one of the main characters in a book I'm reading called Shallan Davar. One of Shallan's characteristics is her abundant red hair, just like Lorna Shine, and like her she also carries an imposing sword. So here I found my inspiration and immediately took pencil and paper to start my fanart. Below, I share with you the creative process.

Materials: I used a sheet of white letter size paper (21.6 x 27.9 cm), graphite pencil, red color and crayons.

I started drawing little by little the parts that were easier for me. I always leave the face for the end, since it is one of the things I find most difficult to do.

La carta que inspiró para mi dibujo se llama Lorna Shine.

En cuanto la ví supe que sería la que dibujaría, ya que me hizo pensar en una de las protagonistas de un libro que estoy leyendo que se llama Shallan Davar. Una de las características de Shallan es su abundante cabello rojo, al igual que Lorna Shine, y como ella también porta una imponente espada. Así que aquí encontré mi inspiración y de inmediato tomé papel y lápiz para comenzar mi fanart A continuación, les comparto el proceso creativo.

Materiales: Utilicé una hoja de papel blanco de tamaño carta (21.6 x 27.9 cm), lápiz de grafito, de color rojo y crayolas.

Comencé dibujando poco a poco las partes que me resultaban más fáciles. Siempre dejo el rostro para el final, ya que es una de las cosas que más me cuesta hacer.

I decided to change this warrior's outfit and sword according to how I imagined the character in the book would look. I liked the idea that this woman could wield a great sword, as women can achieve anything they set their minds to, including being excellent fighters.

Decidí cambiar el atuendo y la espada de esta guerrera de acuerdo a cómo imaginé que luciría el personaje del libro. Me gustó la idea de que esta mujer pudiera empuñar una gran espada, ya que las mujeres pueden lograr todo lo que se proponen, incluso ser excelentes luchadoras.

I wanted to highlight her abundant red hair, it was what I enjoyed drawing the most. The hair gives her a great presence and, for me, is the most striking feature of the card.

Quise resaltar su abundante cabello rojo, fue lo que más disfruté dibujar. El pelo le da una gran presencia y, para mí, es la característica que más llama la atención de la carta.
