Splinterlands: A "SUMMONER-ful" End Of The Season
The Splinterlands' season ended today, as always the beginning and the ending of the season are always the feistiest, and I ended up losing my grand ambition of finishing in Gold League Two, due to some last-gasp losing streak to some heartless lineup that was far more superior, expensive and tactful. I don't know if these guys rent these cards towards the end of the season, but I ended up getting beat and narrowly lost out on finishing better than what I did.
It's no more news that I no longer play in the modern. I'm certain the outcome of my game will have a more terrible outcome as modern is now tagged the league of Champions. Surprisingly I finished last season with 36 chests and I finished this season with 34 chests. Far lesser reward in chest number, but better cards and of course a better SPS haul. I think last season I got about 25 SPS, I cannot completely remember, but this time, I got about 68.
My favorite part of the reward was getting eleven copies of the Helios Matriarch (we all know that summoners are the most important part of the game, soulbound or not) That was probably the only highlight. I already have a level seven of Gobson Bomber, so getting a gold level 3 foil isn't exactly useful to me. Gold cards that are soulbound are mostly the same as regular foil, especially because they do not have a dollar value, so they're mostly the same.
Although some people will argue that a Gold foil is a Gold t and you can't take it away, I generally feel that accumulating the regular foil of one card and the gold foil of the same card is particularly useless, unless is a legendary, at least that's my hallmark for attaching value. However, it was a better reward, not in the range I wanted it to be, but better than the reward last season with the SPS haul making a huge difference.
1.1k merit is also not bad, another 900 and I'll be getting a Gladius case. Not like a Gladius case is a big deal, but then, buying more opportunities to unlock more opportunities is basically the whole essence of getting things like packs and also opening Gladius cases. The games were more competitive this time.
I've played against the new rebellion cards in my Guild and it's been 50/50, it's good I'm currently not having to play them in the wild, those cards are brutal, and their summoners are a cheat code, i.e being able to adjust the summoner's ability after seeing your opponents lineup. However, I know they'll soon flood this wild format soon enough.
My Helios Matriarch is one card away from upgrading to level five, I know I might not be able to play it in silver one, but it'll give me the confidence to head into the Gold leagues whenever I qualify, rather than having to wait for the last day of the season to play there. Overall, it was a good season. I learned some new tactics. The bots are wise but not unique in the way they play, so it's easier to master some of those ingenious tactics. With time, people are going to be pumping more money into the rebellion cards, hopefully, this process will take time.

Those new cards are going to make things very interesting... Today I finally got Helios Matriarch to level 6, which is nice. Now I just have to get the fire, earth, and life summoners to level six, all the others I've stopped leveling them up since they are gold level finally. What I would love to get is a gold foil Quora, or at least a couple more copies to get her to level 2! I love using Llama/Quora in guild brawls. Of course I have to rent the Llama, it's too expensive to buy...

That's great, having them at level 6 means being able to compete with the big boys. I also want a gold Quora, I think it's Only a few people who have managed to do that. The llama/Quora combination is deadly, played against it in the past and just lost throughout.
I'm doing well, I mean, facing or stomaching these complications is no fun, I'm practically 1% of who I used to be: full of hope, fun, funny, exciting. Now I'm just moody, a sense of constant anxiety and even tired of everything in general.
I feeling I know well, just hang in there! I'm not the same guy I used to be either, but I'm working on it!
My hematologist just texted another appointment, after weeks of bawling at me when I was telling them her symptoms on phone. After collecting all the money I saved up, all of them (specialist) are the same. Uncaring, harsh and greedy. They know I'm an en emotional state, and can do anything for my health to better, and they take advantage of that to keep extorting me. It's a lonely place to be in. Coping with my only brother's death and facing this is just too much.
That really sucks, seems like they are in medicine only for the money. That's the wrong reason altogether. Mourning your brother has to be hard, and then all the extra stress. That's really not fair. Hang in there buddy!
Nice rewards and everything counts on leveling up cards. Wish that we would know when Soulbound cards will be unlocked if ever...

Completely agree with you about the summoners. I would rather have 2 regular summoner than the same summoner in regular and foil version

The new cards have changed things quite a bit. I barely made it to Gold II yesterday and I called it quits a bit early after that. The rewards weren't the best but a epic and a gold foil is always nice.
Well, I'll like to see how the season eventually turns out. So far, I haven't played a complete set of games where the opponent had complete rebellion cards
After long hard work, when the result comes in the end and it is good for us, we get good cards as a reward, we are very happy.
