Splinterlands: Ending The Season In Gold

png_20240201_101423_0000.png

I ended the season in Gold 3, but for a short while I was in Gold 2, but I wanted to earn more chests. In the process of earning more chests, I incurred a few losing streaks and ended up in 3. It was disappointing. I wanted to finish in Gold 2, but unfortunately. I earned 37 chests this time and it was quite better than last season.

However, the content of the reward is no better than last season, except that I earned a little more SPS than last season. No legendary cards, only one epic card, one gold common card, and some useless potions as well. 33 SPS haul is not bad, and I hope it can be better than last season. I didn't get the haul of summoners like I expected.

I think the production of the soulbound cards might come to an end maybe later, and the best thing is to get a lot of them, especially summoners. Summoners are very expensive, and when you look at the rebellion summoners, they're quite expensive, and buying these would take one a fortune to do so.

So, getting soulbound rewards is not a waste, they'll become very rare with time and then this is when we'll know their true value. I have some cards in levels 6 and 7 already and I have only two soulbound summoners in level 5, I want to get the rest to level 5 as well so that I can permanently stay in the Gold league. The league (gold) is not an easy place.

There are players qualified to play in diamond league, but they're still in Gold with level 5 and 6 summoners. However, it's not all gloom and doom in the gold league, sometimes, you meet evenly-matched opponents, and it only becomes tougher because you have to also make room for 3 competitive rulesets. I think I lost more games in silver than Gold, and sometimes luck plays a huge role and not just the superiority of the opponent's deck.

However, there are opponents that are difficult to beat no matter the level of luck you have, you'll still lose. These guys have pacy and potent older generation of cards and it's always difficult to play older generation cards because of how strong they are. Avoiding these opponents might mean less defeat, but unfortunately, the algorithm determines this. I faced these cards a lot last season and lost a lot. So overall it was a tough season, hopefully, this season will be better.

I bought a gladius case with some season and daily focus reward, and I got a level 3 gold Krash Wanderford, it's a common gladius card and I rarely use it. I think it's just a speed card, and I don't know how the bloodlust activates, aside from boosting the speed of the other cards.

Well finishing in gold is not bad at all as you said. For me am trying to get into gold, I finished in silver last season and then I wasn’t playing much as well.

Hopefully I can change that this season and then I’ll play more.

With the wanderford I think you should use a card (I’ve forgotten it’s name) that gives adjacent cards it’s attack; I think it’s a magic card and you’ll love it.

I'll look for ways to use the Wanderford like you've mentioned. It's means I need a card that has weapon's training ability. I'm not sure if I have a card like that but I'll check for it.
Thank you, of course, finishing in Gold is always amazing. Hope to finish more in the second and top tier.

Hi @josediccus
Gold is a good league for better rewards in splinterlands and the season chests count is pretty good.

This post of yours is more about gaming and not about crypto or token economy so suggest you pick the right community. The LeoFinance community is for finance and crypto and we encourage users to follow this.

I thought there's no more segregation of content, as Leofinance is now inleo? Besides there's an aspect of cost where I talked about summoners and their cost which is finance related.

You can use inleo.io to post on any community but Leofinance as a community is still same for finance related content.

I’m yet to understand the soul bond rewards though but I’ve seen so many people talk about it. Maybe I’d take my time to study it someday

Nice finish! You got some good cards. Bloodlust activates when that card kills another card upping your card's speed, attack, and health. I love blood lust, it's a great power. Nice haul, 33 SPS to boot!

I finished in Gold II for the first time in a while and I actually stopped fighting early when I went on the border. I didn't collect as many chests as you as I only collected 31 chests. I didn't get anything great from my season rewards either.
