Splinterlands: The Last Day Syndrome

Everyone knows that the last few hours to the end of the Splinterlands' season are always feisty, and some opponents are renting extra summoners on the last day to win some demanding games. I started the season very slow because of my hospital sessions and time off, but I finally decided to stop playing immediately after I got into Gold Two.

However, I had some extra energy to play with, and I decided to give it a shot, I lost four games in five.

Competing on this last day gives you this indecision.

Sometimes you're on a very good streak and you get greedy and want to get some extra chest and then you begin to lose and compromise on your initial standing. I was trying not to make this mistake, but unfortunately I did. I was on a 3 game winning streak, and already standing strong in Gold 2, but then I went on a four-game loss and almost compromised that.

So instead of continuing to play, I decided to cut it short because I might just end up falling back to gold three and never have enough energy to climb back. It was a hectic season, and I'm going to compare how well I did when I finally opened the reward, but the positive here is finishing in gold 2.

Sometimes one goes on a winning streak, gets too confident, and then loses about four to five games consecutively and compromises on their initial plans It's one thing that's mostly common on the last day of the season.

Yesterday, I got an interesting focus reward and it was filled with summoners.

One of the most confusing things is getting gold foil summoners, but never needing them because your ordinary foil has more level. That said, anything gold is rare and can become very useful later on, but I got this rare life summoner Franz Ruffman, a level 2 and ordinary foil in the same reward chest, and for one bizarre reason, I wished the gold foil could be maybe 4 copies of ordinary foil, to continue building my Franz Ruffman to level 5.

Summoners are everything

.....and sometimes we cannot dictate how often or how coordinated we get them. 80% of my soulbound summoners are now in level 4 and I'm beginning the quest to get them in level 5 because most of my soulbound cards are already in level 5, 6 and even 7, and the only way to unlock their level abilities is to increase the level of the summoners as well.

SPS is doing well in price, and I'm grateful for the delegations I have to continually compete with.

I rented out my level one River Herondale.

In fact it's been on the rental market for over 6 months now and bringing in DEC. This is the only card I can currently rent out as every other card I have is in use. 100 so far after about 5 to 6 weeks of renting it out, small, but I might still be able to use it to rent some DEC after some time of accumulating it. So, I'll talk about the full season when the reward is finally out, in 6 hours' time.
