Splinterlands Art Contest Week 238! | Grund Fanart

Good Day Alienart Hive and Splinterlands , i am glad i was able to catch up to this week's contest. It was really hard to choose a subject because all cards are awesome to do a fanart of, most of my arts in splinterlands are humans or at least human figures so this time around I select a monstrous type which is Grund a lizard wielding two mjolnir nah just kidding 🤣. Anyway I just change some minor designs like his facial feature which I made more of a manga or comics style as well as his clothes. Also I try to add another hammer which is being held by his tail which you can see at the back although it was all black.

Drawing Process

With that in mind let me share you the drawing process, as usual I use XP-Pen artist 12 drawing tablet and Photoshop cc 2018 for my drawing software tho I might try to use other software next time. Anyway here are the snaps of the process below...

First is I draft a rough sketch on how the figure or pose of Grund will be.

Then I try to design his face in a way that is more scary or intimidating

After that I try to design his clothes in a simple style which would still somewhat similar to his original clothes design

Now I colored the base color which is green..

From here on I experimented what color to go with in each of the colors..
