Many well-known P2E games are now dead or not profitable anymore. So what did Splinterlands do to survive?

In this blog, I will show some points why Splinterlands became sustainable.

1.) Splinterlands Don't Mainly Rely on New Players.

Even old players need to pay in order to play unless you own all the cards. In order to go for a higher rewards, you need to have the cards you need by renting or buying it. Every transactions a player make, Splinterlands gain 5% profit from it.

In this chart you can see that the Market Volume from October 12, 2022 to November 11, 2022 is around 1.8 million USD and 5% of it goes to Splinterlands. For me, this is pretty good since we are experiencing a crypto crisis.

2.) Rewards are Pool based and not a Stable Reward

For every league, there is a reward pool. This makes Splinterlands fair for those who can have or rent more cards and those who cannot. If Splinterlands made a stable rewards, this would've died years ago. This is also the reason why players keep on aiming for a higher league which makes them buy and rent more cards.

3.) Splinterlands game is more complex

As of now, Splinterlands has a total of 563 cards. This makes almost infinite possiblity of what players can combine in order to have good line up. The thrill of the Splinterlands itself is much better than any other P2E games. This also makes the coin more valuable because it is harder to earn and you really need a skill and expertise on your cards.

4.) Developers

The Devs are constantly developing Splinterlands based on the current situation. If you would compare Splinterlands from last year, it is very much different! And if the market was the same and we are in the bull run, I think Splinterlands is in the top 1 play to earn game. This game is very much underrated in my opinion. Thanks to the Developers and its team because without them, this game is dead.

5.) The Community

Despite of bots that became really unfair to the real players, the community of Splinterlands is really great. Thanks to Splinterlands DAO because the community of Splinterlands can suggest ideas for the betterment of the game. There are also activities that you can participate in order to earn such as fan art week, tournaments, or just by simply watching streamers!

In my opinion, Splinterlands could go another more years with more cards, more activites, and more earnings in the future. If you are looking for a long term game, this game is for you!
