SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE : GETTING THERE IN AIRDROP CONFLICT

image.png

This week I'm gonna share my though and experience on participating in Airdrop Conflict. As per this post was made, the Airdrop Conflict countdown is around 21 (twenty-one) days remaining out of a total 31 (thirty-one) days running time. I've been accumulating a total of 23 reward chances, with current contribution rate at 24,150 / hours. So what happens here? What am I did previously and my future steps?

Basis Rules of Airdrop Conflict

Airdrop Conflict is a new scheme of gaining airdropped cards through purchasing or collecting the new Rebellion editions. These features play important role to induce players to collect Rebellion cards. Previously airdrop are given through purchasing packs through shops. The more number of packs purchased, the more chances to gain the airdrop cards. But this scheme pull players to take shortcut by purchasing the packs, and then sold it again in the secondary market, just to get the permanent purchase record.

The new scheme rework all these and introduced a time-based stack to accumulate the reward chances. The stack consist of collection power coming from Rebellion editions cards being stack (and also the Rebellion packs). So for example here I have 2 (two) Gold Foil Executioner Kraan with 1,000 collection power each. Both cards will accumulate 2,000 contribution power each hour.

How The Number Are Making Up

So in total a stack of 2,000 contribution / hours will generate a total of 48,000 contribution / day. This will accumulate into the Contribution Bar which currently shows a 100,000 denominator. This number is the multiplier threshold to gain a single airdrop reward chances. So are we now eligible for a card once we reached it? Not yet!

The number of airdropped card are limited to 4,000 cards only. These reward chances are more of lottery numbers which every players could collect as much as possible. We could see the leaderboard to see the total reward chances accumulated by all players. So in the end of the Conflict, number will be drawn for each cards to see which reward chances eligible for it. Currently my 23 reward chances are almost nothing compared to the 254,533 chances circulating. Even if we divide 254,533 by 4,000 cards, we will get 63.6, which is higher than my total reward chances, which means I'm still far below the optimal number to secure just a single card.

Plan The Momentum

High contribution rate is important, but momentum of accumulation is as important as it gets. Lets say with 24,150 contribution / hour, at the end of Conflict, I would make at most 21,450 x 24 hours x 21 days = 12,171,600. That's a total of 121 reward chances (+ 23 already gained). Furthermore this level of accumulation will only secure cards on total reward chances at 144 x 4,000 = 576,000.

But the scheme grant a gurantee cards for each multiply of 200 reward chances. This will be in addition to the issued 4,000 cards, so it won't disturb or reduce the rewards chances collected.

The Cost Of Stacking

It will all come back to the cost. Cards and packs needed to stack and Mage Wagon to hold the stacks are all needed funding. Mage Wagon could be purchased using Credit, DEC, or Vouchers. So far with a fixed price of 50 vouchers / wagon, Vouchers cost the least among all (currently around $1.59). Packs grant 100 contribution for each staked. But with packs costing around $3.70, this method is not the most efficient one. In addition a Mage Wagon only provides stack for 100 packs, which means 10,000 contribution / hour at most.

So we come to cards as the alternatives. A card raise contribution based on its collection power. A card with higher bcx value will have much higher contribution. The highest one would be a gold foil legendary card which valued 12,500 contribution / hour. With 4 (four) bcx to max level, a single card could gain at most 50,000 contribution / hour (a 5% bonus at max level boost it to 52,500). The only drawback of cards is Mage Wagon could only hold 5 (five) card at most. It will be more difficult to stack various cards all together.

Planning My Future

The efficiency of contribution are measured in the ratio of CP per USD. Booster packs will have 100 / $3.70 = 27.03. Thats far below compared to for example gold foil Exucutioner Kraan which grant 2,500 / $36.36 = 68.75! That's a far more economic ways.

So here we will do our math to reach the guaranteed 200 reward chances threshold. This is equal to (200 x 100,000) / (31 days x 24 hours) = 26,881.7 CP / hours. That will be the minimum amount at the start of the day would be required. Currently I'm at (23 x 100,000) + 60,910 = 2,360,910. I'm planning to add up later on 20 days remaining, where at current rate, I will reached (30 hours x 24,150 CP / hours) + 2,360,910 = 3,085,410. This will left with (200 x 100,000) - 3,085,410 = 16,914,590 contribution remaining to pursue.

Now repeat the initial calculation, but this time with the remaining time left; 16,914,590 / (20 days x 24 hours) = 35,238.7 CP / hours. This will be the minimum accumulation rate I needed to recoup the low rate run on the early days. Now how much does it cost? Currently ~80 CP / USD is the most economic level of cards sold in the secondary market. With this information, we could make our budget at (35,238.7 - 24,150) / 80 CP / USD = USD 138.6 would be needed to picking up the pace.

Final Decision

Of course this will be my gameplan for this airdrop conflict. It's necessary to reach the accumulation rate of 35,238.7 CP / hours, not only for this conflict but also for further conflict. Mage Wagon, Packs, and Cards will be carried for stacking in the next airdrop conflict. But further conflict might set higher threshold to claim reward chances. Let's say we have 100,000 / chances for this airdrop, and next we might expect 120,000 / chances for the upcoming one. So in number my target are already 35,238.7 / 26,881.7 = 131.09% higher than minimum requirement for the current conflict. I won't find any difficulties in the upcoming conflict.
