SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE : REBELLION DUEL
This week there's no better news than the release of airdrop conflict. Another way to utilize our cards and asset. Rather than passively gain chances from purchasing the new editions pack; this scheme invite more active participation in form of stacking the Rebellion cards. I did glad that my opened packs now works double-time, both for battle and for this airdrop.
So here we have an exciting battle experience with Armored Up, Tis But Scratches, and Melee Mayhem as the ruleset. Click BATTLE LINK to see how the battle run.
The battle has a maximum 35 mana cap, while only Fire and Earth Splinters being excluded.
Its an all exclusive Rebellion cards, so I gain advantage from my wide array Rebellion cards collection. I decided to go with Prophet Rosa to focus on the Shield ability. I deploy my favourite main two rows; that is Ulundin Overseer and Mantaroth. Both could hold the line for several rows allowing Mantoroth to strike fully during the coming rounds. Next there is Isgald Vorst, a crucial damage dealer with Opportunity. And last but not least is Argarux Magus to cast small magic damage. This isn't the most effective formation as we know Armored Up added additional layer for my dominan melee formation.
In the other side, Avina The Wolf stand ready. My opponent also decided to deploy Ulundin Overseer. But cleverly it followed with Moxian Rebel and Albahoo Forester make a combo for magic attack buff. The last 3 (three) rows filled with a combination of weak damage dealer, but helpful abilities. Sola Ranjell with its Tank Heal could mend Ulundin very much. Anachron Bolter had a ranged attack debuff. Karst Harpy though not as strong as the rest will be useful to fend ambush attack.
With its speed buff, my opponent gained much better initiative. Isgald Vorst breakdown Moxian Rebel shield exposing to any fatal blow. Cripple really play important roles here, especially against Ulundin Overseer with its thick armor. Still at the end of the round, my Ulundin lead in health and armor. This thanks to Mantaroth which deal massive damage to my opponent.
Isgald Vorst deal a killing blow into Moxian Rebel, claiming its first Bloodlust. The battle continue with shreding damage on both Ulundin. And when my Mantaroth strip my opponent Ulundin to 2 health remaining, my own Ulundin wasn't fortunate enough when a final magic spell land on Ulundin and retire it for good.
The round opened with Isgald Vorst land blow into Ulundin, claiming its second Bloodlust. Its a trailing road for my opponent as their ranged attack was numbed by Mantaroth Shield. But still the Cripple effect slowly wore down Mantaroth maximum health. Mantaroth deal a massive damage into Albahoo Forester killing it in second.
Isgald again strip down Sola Ranjell's armor. The battle continue with damage start to accumulating over Mantaroth. But with its thick armor, it almost impossible for my opponent to penetrate Mantaroth. The round is closed with Mantaroth land killing blow into Sola Ranjell.
Starting Round 5, I gained the higher ground. My opponent lose their arsenal, as Anachron Bolter have to step up to first row. The battle must go on, and my formation slowly cripple down my opponent's armor.
When Round 6 begin, it only a matter of time for Isgald Vorst to land the final blow into Anachron Bolter.
CONCLUSION
Usually formation with fewer number of cards are less effective than full fledge formation with distributed mana on each cards. But this battle show the contrary. The most important thing is how to balance endurance with firepower. A formation rely too much on endurance will face attritional battle, while formation rely too much on firepower might get routed out very early. This battle become my victory mainly due to Bloodlust from Isgald Vorst.
