SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE : THE TANK BATTLE
So here I will share an exciting battle with my Rebellion editions cards. I've collected several of them (including the rare Akane!), and they really bring a fresh new playstyle to Splinterlands. Its great to be an early newcomer where the cast collection will dominate those with lesser collection.
So here we have the battle experience with Lost Legendaries and Counterspell as the ruleset. Click BATTLE LINK to see how the battle run.
The battle has a maximum 47 mana cap, while only Earth and Dragon Splinters may be deployed.
I decided to go with Lobb Lowland as the main summoner which grant access go gladiators. Katrelba Gobson recently has been the most picked gladiator for Earth Splinter, replacing the old-fashioned Quora Towershead. Right between Katrelba and Endless Ape is Bramble Pixie which ready to strike when the first row is breached. The last two rows couldn't be taken lightly, Hunter Jarx and Swell Spore Beast are both expensive ranged but packs a powerful 3 range damage.
To my surprise, my opponent also decided to go with similar strategy. They decided to go with Earth Splinter instead and then go all out to deploy full armored Tanker
for the first three rows. The next three rows is magic cards, which unsuitable under Countersplee ruleset. Regal Peryton is followed by Goblin Psychic which will bring support through Heal. And last but not least Madcap Magus to launched wild attack, in hope to hit those weakest link of mine.
The speed debuff really put strain into my opponent agility. Other than Regal Peryton, my formation make the opening strike. Katrelba and Hunter Jarx put a heavy blow into Mycelic Slipspawn. Counterspell really put some blow into my opponent as each of their casted spell are being countered for the exact same damage. Finally this open an opportunity for Swell Spore Beast to put Mycelic Slipspawn into demise.
I have to accept the lost of Terraceous Grunt which suffered continous damage. Meanwhile my opponent still hold a quite health Terraceous Grunt.
Entering Round 2, I gained snowball momentum as Katrelba Gobson deal a kill into Madcap Magus, then gained a damage boost which exactly the needed damage to kill Goblin Psychic. With Heal no longer available, its easy for Endless Ape, Bramble Pixie, Swell Spore Beast all together to bring down Terracceous Grunt. Other than that, Hunter Jarx missed its attack. With three kill in this round alone, the tide of the battle has run to my side.
Regal Peryton make a low blow into Endless Ape with no avail, as Katrelba ambush it and put it into demise for good. With this Katrelba propel into its third Bloodlust. The battle turns into a gang assault with Endless Ape down from 10 health to 5 health by the end of the round.
It only need a single act from Katrelba Gobson to put Endelss Ape into limbo for good; and thus ended the fight from my opponent.
CONCLUSION
I think I got quite lucky from the Bloodlust momentum of Katrelba Gobson which propels the damage output of my formation. So by the mid of the battle, the tide has surely run into my favor.
