Adelade Brightwing | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 231
Hola Hivers, esta vez escogí a Adelade Brightwing una unidad de vida legendaria. La escogí ya que quería recrear un poco el estilo de pintura renacentista, Y el diseño del personaje ayuda mucho a recrear ese estilo. Tomándome algunas libertades con el diseño como las alas extras y su ropa.
Hi Hivers, this time I chose Adelade Brightwing a legendary life unit. I chose her since I wanted to recreate a bit of a renaissance painting style, AND the character design helps a lot to recreate that style. Taking some liberties with the design, such as the extra wings and her clothing.
Me tomé el tiempo necesario para realizar el boceto, quería tener algo bien definido antes de avanzar con el pintado, tuve algunas dificultades para hacer la mano, pero con ayuda de una imagen de referencia conseguí la expresión que buscaba en su mano.
I took the necessary time to make the sketch, I wanted to have something well-defined before moving forward with the painting, I had some difficulties to make the hand, but with the help of a reference image I got the expression I was looking for in her hand.
Luego de terminar el boceto comencé a poner los tonos base en escalas de grises como de costumbre, ya que es mucho más fácil trabajar los contrastes y poder pintar más rápido. Queriendo mantener ese contraste suave, sobre todo en la piel.
After finishing the sketch, I started to put the base tones in gray scales as usual, since it is much easier to work the contrasts and to be able to paint faster. I wanted to keep that soft contrast, especially in the skin.
Ya teniendo la ilustración casi terminada, comencé el proceso de pintado. Con ayuda de un mapa de degradado y capas en modo de color fui ajustando la opacidad y los tonos hasta encontrar uno que me agradase, con mucho experimento y prueba de error, sin perder mucho el contraste. Y como toques finales, una corrección en los tonos generales y una capa de ruido como es de costumbre.

Having the illustration almost finished, I started the painting process. With the help of a gradient map and layers in color mode I was adjusting the opacity and tones until I found one that I liked, with a lot of experimentation and trial and error, without losing much contrast. And as final touches, a correction in the general tones and a noise layer as usual.
