Hola Hivers, esta semana escogí la carta legendaria de tipo tierra Inmortalis. Quería hacer retratar un fragmento de la biografía de este personaje donde viaja con su perro fiel. Realice varios bocetos, pero me decidí por este último, ya que me gusto más la composición.

Hi Hivers, this week I chose the legendary earth type card Immortalis. I wanted to portray a fragment of the biography of this character where he travels with his faithful dog. I made several sketches, but I decided for this last one, because I liked the composition better.

Inmediatamente, comencé el proceso de pintado en escalas de grises, quería representar al personaje de una manera que reflejara su fuerza y experiencia y siempre acompañado por su perro. Para el fondo me decidí por un paisaje nocturno de un camino en el campo bajo una tenue luz de luna y algunas lámparas que iluminan un camino de piedras.

Immediately, I started the painting process in grayscale, I wanted to represent the character in a way that reflected his strength and experience and always accompanied by his dog. For the background I decided on a nocturnal landscape of a country road under a dim moonlight and some lamps that illuminate a path of stones.

Ya con la base lista comencé a trabajar en los detalles, siendo el cabello y la barba lo primero que me enfoque, ya que sabía que me tomaría más tiempo que el resto del dibujo, y con ayuda de varios pinceles puede darle un toque lo más realista posible.

Junto a su cabellera gris y algo desalineada. Ya teniendo listo el cabello y la barba, comencé a trabajar en el rostro, manos y vestimenta. Y luego con el perro y por último el fondo.

With the base ready I started to work on the details, being the hair and the beard the first thing I focused on, since I knew it would take me more time than the rest of the drawing, and with the help of several brushes I could give it the most realistic touch possible.

Along with his gray and somewhat misaligned hair. Having the hair and beard ready, I started working on the face, hands and clothing. And then with the dog and finally the background.

Al tener casi listo el trabajo en escalas de grises, comencé el proceso de coloreado, probé varios tonos preliminares hasta que me decide por unos tonos fríos contrastados con unos cálidos que provienen de las lámparas.

Seguí agregando tonos y filtros para poder ajustar aún más el contraste y la visión general del dibujo, ya para culminar solo agregué más luces y algunos detalles menores, además de darle profundidad con un desenfoque gaussiano, más una capa de ruido.

Having almost ready the work in grayscale, I began the coloring process, I tried several preliminary tones until I decided on some cold tones contrasted with some warm ones that come from the lamps.

I continued adding tones and filters to be able to adjust even more the contrast and the general vision of the drawing, and to finish I only added more lights and some minor details, besides giving it depth with a Gaussian blur, plus a layer of noise.
