For this week, it's Fog of War rule of combat. The rule of combat eliminates some of the most problematic abilities in the game, which, makes the game both easier and a little bit less complicated.

With this rule of combat, there would be less mind games and the better strategy will always triumph. The monster's levels also gives you huge advantage and will probably be a huge factor whether you would win or not.

It's a breath of fresh air for me when I have this rule of combat as it eliminates most of the thinking and I can auto pilot to some of my builds without worrying if I need to defend the rear from opponent's Sneak attacks or use bait monsters for a possible Snipe or Opportunity attacks.

Thaddius Brood is a Rare summoner from the Chaos Legion Series.

Level 8 Rare summoners allow the use of:

The stats are really good. It takes less number of cards to get higher level than a common summoner. This gives you more control on what levels you need for your monsters.

-1 Magic. [Stat Modifier] [Negative Status] All Opponent monsters has their Magic damage decreased by 1 with a minimum of 1. Any monsters with 1 Magic damage before the ability applies are unaffected.

Probably the strongest stats affecting ability for summoners. It's a good counter against Obsidian.

-1 Health. [Stat Modifier] [Negative Status] All Opponent monsters has their Max Health decreased by 1 with a minimum of 1. Any monsters with 1 Max Health before the ability applies are unaffected.

Really good ability as it affects almost all the monsters except the ones who already has 1 health to start. It would counter any Strenghten ability your opponent will have though.

Ravenhood Warden is good but not strong. He's a support monster with helpful abilities that strenghtens your other monsters.

Abilities

At level 1, Protect is unlocked. [Support] [Stat Modifier] As long as this monster is alive, all friendly monsters has their max armor increased by 2.

Protect is a strong ability that counters a lot of strong Sneak and Opportunity abilities since most of those have melee damage.

At level 5, Inspire is unlocked. [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] As long as this monster is alive, all friendly monsters has their melee damage increased by 1.

Death Splinter has a lot of good Melee Sneaks and an Inspire ability can further increase this strength.

At level 8, Fury is unlocked. [Damage] This monster deals double damage to opponents with Taunt ability.

Ravenhood Warden does not have good damage and Fury, while can be good, is not an ability worth to have in this monster. This means that even if your Ravenhood Warden isn't at max level, it's still worth to use him on your battles.

Thaddius Brood: Thaddius Brood is a good overall summoner regardless if your opponents does not have magic damage since the -1 Health would still affect most of them.

1. Venari Marksrat: I placed him at the 1st position for the Martyr ability.
2. Xenith Monk: Xenith Monk is a good low mana cost tank with Void and Heal.
3. Chaos Agent: I had an extra mana left so Chaos Agent would be a good choice to fill the extra mana left.
4. Venari Bonesmith: Placing Venari Bonesmith towards the latter part gives him time to gain more max health.
5. Magi Necrosi: Even though he has Camouflage ability, I placed him in front of Ravenhood Warden since his magic damage can be used in first position.
6. Ravenhood Warden: Ravenhood Warden at the last position with Fog of War is very good as you can abuse its Protect ability to the fullest.

ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ?

Yes. Ravenhood Warden's Protect ability helped deny the damage from Soul Strangler's huge 3 range damage. While it did not help because of opponent's magic damage, the regular denial of Soul Strangler's range damage is strong.

None. The mana cap for this battle is quite low so the monsters that can be employed are quite limited. I had the best monsters for this battle's rules from my arsenal.

Thaddius Brood and Ravenhood Warden in Fog of War Rules of Combat

? 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕?

Yes. While it deters me from using monsters with Sneak, Opportunity and Snipe, it makes the game a lot linear and easier. I only need to protect my monsters in the 1st position or if I cant, use some late game strategies that maximizes my monster's abilities like having monsters with Life Leech or Protect abilities towards the end.
