This is a recent match which fits very well with this week's contest. The combination of these two cards are very underrated at lower league in which I normally abuse to get wins here and there.
The monster on focus also has a very good compatibility on her skills which makes it very worth to upgrade her on max level once you get the SPS required to get on that league level.

You can get your own copy of Grandmaster Rathe for $10.93. For a legendary summoner, this is quite cheap from the usual $20 cost. Also, if you are planning to play for a long time and is very interested in this card, there's someone selling it right now for $95 for a level 4 max copy.
A max copy of Grandmaster Rathe requires 11 copies combined so it would cost you $120.23 to get all 11 copies per piece. This is a $25 discount if you will be taking the $95 on the market right now.

You can rent a level 1 copy for 1.00 DEC per day. A max copy will cost you $59.83 per day though which looks cheap compared to the cost of buying it but it would accrue over time.

At the very cheap price of less than a dollar, you can get a level 4 Chaos Knight. A level 8 Chaos Knight will also only cost you $8.44 that you can use until Champion League.

You can rent a level 3 Chaos Knight for 0.14 DEC per day. This is enough for a max bronze level. It also gives you an extra melee damage which is very useful for any monster.

I like using legendary summoners because they are normally cheaper than others especially on lower league. A level 1 legendary summoner can be used to unleash the max levels of Bronze league and allows you to not have any penalty on Silver League.
+1 Armor. Gives 1 extra armor to all monsters you control.
Void Armor (Inherent). Gives Void Armor ability to all of your monsters. Monsters with Void Armor ability will use its armor to absorb an opponent's magic damage. Void Armor also applies to any armor gained from this summoner, rule of combat or protect ability.
Amplify (Inherent). Gives Amplify ability to all of your monsters. Amplify increases the damage of Return Fire ability, Thorns ability and Magic Reflect ability by 1. This damage does not stack even if you have more than 1 monsters with Amplify on the board.

Chaos Knight is very strong at lower league due to her decent armor and health. Unlike other tanks, Chaos Knight also has decent damage at early levels giving you a 3 melee damage starting at level 3.
At level 1, Shield is unlocked. Monters with Shield ability halves any melee and range damage he gets, rounded up. If the damage is already 1 before the effect applies, the damage is negated.
At level 5, Giant Killer is unlocked. Does double damage to opponents that has 10 mana cost or more. Since Chaos Knight has a decent 3 damage at level 5, he would deal a huge 6 damage when the attack is successful.
At level 9, Inspire is unlocked. Increaes all melee monster's damage by 1 as long as this monster is alive. This also affects his own damage since Chaos Knight is a melee monster. Inspire also works compatibly with Giant Killer allowing him to deal 8 damage to monsters of 10 mana cost or more starting at level 9.

Summoner: Grandmaster Rathe: His Void Armor ability is a good partner with Chaos Knight having a decent armor even at early levels.
- Chaos Knight: Good general defense with his Shield. Also has decent damage on top of her tenacity.
- Venari Crystalsmith: Good partner with Chaos Knight. Since there are no damage reduction in my lineup, eventually, Chaos Knight will die. The Tank heal is a good backup to make Chaos Knight keep going.
- Aves Sturgis: Good 2 magic damage while also allowing you more flexibility of giving damage to monsters with no attack types through her Weapons Training ability.
- Clockwork Aide: A good 4 mana cost monster with High armor. Very compatible with Grandmaster Rathe's Void Armor. I normally add him at the back to block against Sneaks. Also has Swiftness to increase the speed of your team.
αͺIαͺ YOαα αTαα©TEGY α―OαKEαͺ?
Yes. Life Splinter is a good choice on Even Stevens rule of combat. They have CHaos Knight at 6 mana and Venari Crystalsmith at 4 mana making a decent protection against other teams. If you have General Sloan at higher levels as well, they also have decent range monsters allowing you to have good damage even at low mana fights.

I don't think there's anything I want to change in this lineup. I made the best combinations based on the monsters I have at my command.
π«π πππ ππππ Chaos Knight in Even Stevens Rule of Combat ? πΎππ ππ πΎππ πππ?
Yes. Chaos Knight has decent armor and health alongside with his Shield ability making him a good all around defender. In addition to that, he also has good damage allowing you to dish good DPS even if there are few monsters on your side.
Grandmaster Rathe's Void Armor adds survivability on this monster making him able to withstand magic damage teams.
