Not all battles can be won but as they say, "Every loss is an experience." Losing is not the end but the start of being better. It's up to you to stand up and try again.

Despite the negative experience in this battle, I learned a lot which I applied on my other games. After this battle, I improved a lot and increased my win rates by applying what I learned.

Eternan Brune is a Rare summoner from the Chaos Legion Series.

Level 2 Rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 1 Legendary monsters;
Level 2 Epic monsters;
Level 2 Rare monsters;
Level 3 Common monsters.

For a 6 mana cost summoner that gives you -2 armor and allows you to summon a Gladiator monster, that's quite expensive.

Dumacke Orc is very weak at 1 health despite having 2 Melee damage and 3 Armor at level 1. He costs 6 mana which is quite a lot.

I have mine at level 3 which provides 5 armor instead of 3. Without Equalizer rule of combat, he can be one shot with any magic damage.

Abilities

---

At level 1, Shield is unlocked. [Defense] Monsters with Shield ability reduces the incoming melee and range damage by half. If the damage is 1, before the effect applies, the damage is negated and becomes 0.

Shield is very good set up for the next abilities that this monster have. It reduces damage for melee and range, which means the next two abilities can be inflicted more often before this monster dies.

At level 5, Retaliate is unlocked. [Defense] [Damage] This monster has a 50% chance of attacking any opponent's melee monster that attack this monster.

With high damage, Retaliate is a good addition. The damage he can inflict is equal to the current damage he has. That meant Inspire ability can increase this Retaliate damage as well.

At level 9, Thorns is unlocked. [Defense] [Damage] Any opponent's melee monster that attack this monster will take 2 melee damage back.

With the Thorns ability, Any melee monsters that attack this monster successfully will be inflicted with 2 melee damage.

Eternan Brune: Maybe one of the stronger versions of the Soulbound summoner with Conscript. Required to use Krash Wanderford.

1. Dumacke Orc: One of the best tanks in Equalizer rule of combat due to fixing his 1 Max Health weakness.
2. Krash Wanderford: I'm testing a new combo which didn't help a lot in this battle. Can also be trained by Moxian Rebel for the extra magic damage.
3. Moxian Rebel: A neutral Rebellion monster with Magic Weapons Training. Another good target for Equalizer due to his 1 Max Health.
4. Clockwork Aide: Another good monster with Equalizer due to his 1 Health. Can also be trained by Moxian Rebel for the extra magic damage.
5. Spirit Hoarder: The Triage is good to serve as support for Kha'zi Fire Mage in case there's a lot of Sneak monsters.
6. Kha'zi Fire Mage: Good monster to place at the back because of the Dodge ability. Dodge is good against Melee and Range Sneak monsters.

ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ?

. My build was more focused on defending against melee and range strategies due to Earth Splinter being banned for this battle. I was not expecting the opponent to focus on magic damage with Water Splinter. If the opponent mostly used Melee, I am sure I would've win this battle.

ᗯᕼᗩT ᗯIᒪᒪ YOᑌ TᖇY ᗪIᖴᖴEᖇEᑎTᒪY ᑎE᙭T TIᗰE?

I think the reason why I lost is not because the build is not good but simply because I did not anticipate the opponent's build. I should've spread the defenses and added a mix damage and defenses like Tusk the Wide's Void ability for opponent's Magic damage.

Eternan Brune and Dumacke Orc in Equalizer Rules of Combat

. Despite losing this game, I would say that I do like the combo. It fixes the weakness on some of the monsters and I might've won if I adjusted the build a little or maybe a few level ups. If I get Moxian Rebel to a point where he gets 2 damage, the Weapons Training gives 2 magic damage as well which may help in the damage department.
