This battle shows you why proper positioning is important. I've got a very close fight that if the opponent didn't miss as much or if I missed, I lose.

To be honest, this battle is won by luck and if done again, I'm most likely lose than win.

However, if I were to change the positioning of my monsters, this would be an easy win in favor of me.

Underboss Fabino is a rare summoner . from the Rebellion Series.

Level 1 rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 1 Legendary monsters;
Level 1 Epic monsters;
Level 1 Rare monsters;
Level 1 Common monsters.

He is probably the trickiest to use among the Rebellion summoners with Summoner Tactics ability.

You're allowed to choose up to two monsters on the board. Those monsters will gain 2 melee damage.

Poison (1)

This ability gives poisoned status to one monster on the board. Poisoned monsters take 2 damage per round and can be removed by Cleanse ability or when the monster dies and gets resurrected.

Venari Knifer has 2 melee, 4 speed, and 7 health at level 1. He gains an extra 1 melee damage at level 3 level 3 and another one at level 10.

He also has great speed that complements the Backfire ability that he unlocks starting at level 6.

At level 1, Thorns is unlocked. Thorns inflict 2 melee damage to any melee opponents that attack this monster.

The only weakness of this ability is it's limited to melee attacks. If opponents has range or magic damage, they would not get any damage when attacking this card. Since the Thorns damage is melee, the damage can also be reduced by half using Shield ability.

At level 6, Backfire is unlocked. Backfire inflicts 2 damage to any opponent that misses this target.

With a high speed of 6, it's actually a really strong anti Sneak monster. Whether the opponent's attack hit or miss, they would get 2 damage back which is very strong in eliminating opponent's Sneak monsters.

Underboss Fabino: One of the new Rebellion Summoners. He gives you the option of putting a poison to an opponent which helped me immensely in this battle.

1. Venari Knifer: A target for the increased melee damage. The Thorns ability was pretty useful since all opponents were melee.
2. Lurking Puffer: A target for the Weapons Training ability. He has high health for a 2 mana cost monster.
3. Moxian Rebel: Gives Weapons Training to both monsters beside him. Since his damage is magic, he also gives magic damage to both Lurking Puffer and chaos Agent.
4. Chaos Agent: A target for the Weapons Training ability. Extra damage for a cost of 1 mana.

ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ?

Yes. The Moxian Rebel and his two henchmen gave me enough firepower to destroy the opponent's monster with Shield ability.

This allowed my Venari Knifer to wreak havoc to the opponent's back row. Since all of my opponents are melee monsters, the Thorns from Venari Knifer was very effective.

Lastly, Underboss Fabino's ability works two ways. I can increase the attack of Venari Knifer but since the opponent has Shield ability reducing melee damage, I decided to use the other ability, applying poison to one opponent.

I chose to poison the opponent's Gladiator, Orella Abadon, since the Bloodlust combined with Sneak ability is very dangerous, especially with my monsters having low health. The poison can kill him in 2 turns, if he misses one of his attacks or 3 if not giving me a sure way to kill the gladiator before it becomes undefeatable.

ᗯᕼᗩT ᗯIᒪᒪ YOᑌ TᖇY ᗪIᖴᖴEᖇEᑎTᒪY ᑎE᙭T TIᗰE?

Lurking Puffer to Chaos Agent. Technically, the only change is an exchange in position. While it might not save me a 100%, it would still buy time and probably make my magic damage monsters inflict do a few more attacks to opponents before they fall.

It's not a game changer but my build is not efficient, if I may say.

Underboss Fabino x Venari Knifer in Rise of the Commons Rules of Combat

? 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕?

Yes and No. I like Venari Knifer since she counters some scary builds, mostly, the ones involving Gladiators just like in another post of mine.

Venari Knifer is good for countering builds but she is not as good as a solo tank since she doesn't have any damage reduction abilities.

Her health would be done in a few turns since there's nothing to protect her from attacks.
