Splinterland's Secret Surprise: Santa Skins
π΄πππππππππππ
This was a bit late but someone went a bit naughty during Christmas season. There was no announcement, no Tweets, nothing. Nothing was mentioned about this and I am not sure if people even realized it as it was so naturally done.
Among the findings you'll see below, I actually thought these were just promotions, something like made for christmas, but I never expected that they would add it in the game.
Daigendark Surveyor

Daigendark Surveyor is a Water monster from the Rebellion series. She normally wears a blue coat, usually looking like an officer with her trusty flying camera. They are tasked with managing The Deep, a place first mentioned as the last coffin for Water Elementals where the most monstrous, malevolent monsters lurk.

However, the Daigendark Surveyors still need to relax once in a while in Azmareβs Frozen Hell where the Ice Pixies dwell. Wearing their red and green-themed outfits, they make small snowmen to ride their trusty camera built to withstand the cold season as their original ones get fix and updated for the upcoming battles.
Nimbledook Ranger

Nimbledooks are in the same species of Daigendarks. They are both rock gnomes but are tasked with a different job, to spot trouble. When the Nimbledooks spot trouble, their rangers are the first to be called, while in a concealed vantage point, they would take their arrows and take down their foes.

However, Christmas is not the time to look for trouble. Instead of finely honed arrows, they use candied bows and arrows in the form of candy canes ready to eliminate any sweet tooth their targets might have.
Nimbledook Scout

Another rock gnome from the Nimbledooks. Their scouts are the masters of terrain. They mostly scouted the whole Praetoria and the only expedition they haven't done is on the Sea of Karst where they can find the Kingdom of Mar Toren, a home of the immigrant merfolks from Azmare's Poseidar.

However, instead of scouting lands, Nimbledooks Scouts helped prepared for the festivities. With her knowledge on grappling hooks and her rock climbing skills, she is the perfect candidate to add those Christmas designs from the high locations giving everyone a very merry Christmas.
Other Places That Used These Artworks
These are actually the reason why I didn't notice it in the first place. I thought these was just made to suit the Christmas season. But as you've seen, it never struck me that they would add it in the game which was amazing to discover.
Some Minor Complaint

This is the only complaint I have:
Look at him. It's very fitting, very perfect. It wouldn't also look bad. So, I made the judgment of adjustment on this one using my own hand.
I am unsure of until when they will be in the game. These are, by the way, default skins. They aren't skins that I bought and applied.
These are base skins that were applied to these specific cards. I started writing this article at December 28 so I am unsure if there would be more of these by the time I post this one.
But for now, all I could say is that even though we didn't ask for this, even though no one requested it, as a member of the Splinterlands community, we appreciate these little surprises and I hope they can make these into a little game inside the community in the future.
April is coming up in a few months and little surprises like this would be really fun to find when that time comes. Again...
Thank you, Splinterlands, and I hope the Devs and everyone involved had a nice Christmas.
