The Enraged Oshannus Strategy
π΄πππππππππππ
In this strategy, I would be using Enrage in a different way and for a different reason. As always, this strategy would be best on Silver League and above.
One thing that you need to remember though is that this strategy is not fool-proof. You may still lose when using this strategy especially since if your opponent will be using Enrage ability on their own.

For buying a Kelya Frendul, you have two good options. You can either get a level 1 for $0.61 if you are in Bronze and a level 4 for max Silver or low gold.

For rentals, a Gold Kelya Frendul is better for the extra 10% rewards when you win the battle. The rental is on the okay side at 10.09 DEC per day. This is what I rent as well for my Water Splinter builds.

I don't suggest buying Gold Djinn Oshannus unless you have the budget for it. It's very expensive. You can get a level 1 non-gold though for $0.89 or a level 2 for 2.08. I suggest sticking up to it until you have funds for a gold foil then selling the non-gold after you do so.

Same with Kelya Frendul, renting a Gold Djinn Oshannus is more efficient. It may cost you more but for a 4.72 DEC per day but an extra 10% rewards is better than renting lower without any extra.

Stats | Kelya Frendul
Kelya Frendul is a rare summoner. There's nothing special about rare summoner and they are the most common summoners you would be facing against.
+1 Armor. All friendly monsters gain +1 armor.
It's a good extra in order to protect the other monsters at the back. It is a good ability against melee and range compositions since Shield will block their damage.
+1 Speed. All friendly monsters gain +1 speed.
This is the best one of the two in this build. In this strategy, speed is very important and the higher the speed of Djinn Oshannus, the higher the chance no one will be able to touch him.
Stats | Djinn Oshannus
Djinn Oshannus is one of the best legendary summoners in Water Splinters. He has high health, high speed, decent damage and only a one digit mana cost.

At level 1, Void ability is unlocked. Void ability halves all the magic damage that this monster gets.
Good ability during Bronze matches or against mirror matches. This can reduce the damage of opponent's magic damage that hit your Djinn Oshannus.

At level 2, Phase ability is unlocked. Phase ability allows this monster to evade any incoming range damage. The calculation is the same as how you calculate the evasion rate against melee and range attacks.
This is extremely useful in Silver League especially when fighting against Earth mages. Earth mages has low speed and a lot of their attacks will miss when you have a Djinn Oshannus with Phase.

At level 3, Forcefield is unlocked. Forcefield reduces any 5 damage and above to 1.
This is extremely useful in higher levels and league since the higher the levels of the monster, the more abilities and damage they normally get.

Briar Patch Rules of Combat. All monsters on the board gains Thorns ability. Melee monsters that attacks another monster with Thorns ability gets damaged by 2. This damage can be reduced by half using Shield ability.

What Doesn't Kill You Rules of Combat. All monsters on the board gains Enrage ability. Enrage ability increases the monster's Speed and Melee damage by 50% of its base value if the monster is on the damaged state.

αͺIαEαα
Kelya Frendul: A good general Water summoner that is extremely good in bolstering defenses.
- Venari Marksrat: Placed in the front in order to die quicker. Most of the damage always comes on the front so even if Venari Marksrat cannot attack, you can be sure that he would die for the Martyr ability.
- Djinn Oshannus: Placed near Venari Marksrat for the Martyr effect. Has high speed and magic damage. The Enrage ability from "What Doesn't Kill" rule of combat increases his speed immensely allowing him to dodge melee, range and magic damage (Because of Phase ability) very easily.
- Nerissa Tridawn: A 9 mana cost monster with no abilities but high health and damage. Good to use as a secondary tank.
- River Heliondale: Revives the Venari Marksrat using Resurrection ability in order to use Martyr ability again after it dies for the 2nd time.
- Torrent Fiend: A 0 mana cost monster. Good for redirecting attacks if opponent have Opportunity abilities.
- Kelp Initiate: I recently start doing this when I have a main tank I am confident on. Placing another tank on the 6th position allows my main damage to survive longer. This strategy would only work if you have full confidence that your main tank would not die in that battle.
αͺIαͺ YOαα αTαα©TEGY α―OαKEαͺ?
Yes. Due to Briar Patch, both me and my opponents did not use any melee monsters which went in my favor. What Doesn't Kill You rule of combat gives Enrage ability that increases the monster's speed and melee damage by half. Since there was no one who used Melee monsters, there was no damage increased even though the speed did.
The increased Speed from Enrage and stat boost from Venari Marksrat's double Martyr allowed my Djinn Oshannus to reach 12 Speed. At that speed, most of the attacks then would miss unless my opponent have True Strike ability.
Kelp Initiate placed on the 5th position helped a lot as well giving me enough time to eliminate the opponent's initial monster putting Iza the Fanged on the first position. Sneak abilities loses its effect when the monter is on first position.

Phantom of the Abyss. In this battle, I did not use Phantom of the Abyss because I want to show off a high speed Djinn Oshannus. However, on normal battles where I am not aiming to show any new strategies, when using Water Splinter, I would often use Djinn Oshannus and Phantom of the Abyss as my main core.
I will not give any more information but if you want to know more, check out my next post later this week for it.
Actually, the use of Djinn Oshannus and Phantom of the Abyss was scheduled to be posted yesterday but I delayed it due to the news about the release of the Rebellion packs. I just have to react to it due to the new changes installed for Splinterlands. I suggest you take a look at it in this link: https://peakd.com/hive-124452/@konaqua/rebellion-is-coming-and-we
π«π πππ ππππ Djinn Oshannus and Kelya Frendul in What Doesn't Kill You Rules of Combat ? πΎππ ππ πΎππ πππ?
Yes. Djinn Oshannus and Kelya Frendul is one of my favorite combos recently. I even dropped one of my Water Splinter cores featuring Possibilus the Wise.
I am not sure but recently, it felt like they did a balancing on Speed and you can feel its effect a lot. Before, I had complaints with the speed especially when I had a battle where my opponent successfully landed hits on me consecutively three times even though there's a huge difference in speed. (If I remember, my opponent used a 2 speed monster and I have 11 speed and for three consecutive rounds, that 2 speed monster hit me every time making me lose the game).
The use and effect of having a high speed monster become a reliable strategy nowadays for me and it's one of my best strategies up to date.
