There was a big change in Rebellion other than the Summoner Tactics that I think is flying under the radar. I've not seen a lot talk about this nor I've seen people building around it.

Since Rebellion released, Weapons Training was immensely buffed in Rebellion. Weapons Training now gives full damage instead of half. Moreover, those who were blessed with Weapons Training does not get removed if the main holder of Weapons Training dies first.

As a quick example, Zyriel, a legendary Life/Death monster that has 3 range damage and Weapons Training only gives 2 range damage (3/2=1.5 rounded up is 2) during the Chaos Legion. Now, Zyriel gives 3 range damage. Also, Weapons Training gives damage to up to 2 monsters, which is on its left and right. That means, Zyriel only gives 2 range damage to each monster and now gives 3 to each beside her increasing the overall damage from 7 (3+2+2) to 9 (3+3+3).

Zeddica is still quite expensive since there's not a lot of copy roaming in the market right now. You can get a level 1 for $0.40 or a level 2 for $3.20 for a level 2.

However, it only needs 5 cards to level 2 so it's cheaper to buy 5x level 1 card for $2.00 total instead of paying $3.20.

Since Zeddica is a new summoner from the recent Rebellion pack, he is a bit expensive than the Chaos Legion. Right now, you can rent a level 1 for 0.14 DEC per day or a level 3 for 4.00 DEC per day.

This card is a soulbound rewards card from Rebellion Series and can only be obtained by daily rewards chests and end of season rewards chests.

If a card is soulbound, it is unable to be transferred, rented/delegated, burned, bought or sold until the cards go out of print. It is tied to the account that has earned it through gameplay/chests.

Zeddica is a Common summoner from Rebellion Series.

Level 1 common summoners allow the use of:
Level 1 Legendary monsters;
Level 1 Epic monsters;
Level 1 Rare monsters;
Level 1 Common monsters.

Zeddica requires more level in order to get higher leveled monsters in compare to summoners like Kelya Frendul due to him being a Common Summoner.

However, he only requires 3 mana cost while being a Dual Element summoner. Him being able to use two Element's monsters at the same time actually makes him very overpowered especially if you use Weapons Training.


Abilities


Zeddica does not have any abilities but able to use all monsters from both Water and Death Splinters combined.

Noa the Just is one of the monsters I really like in the Souldbound rewards. He looks weak at first sight but he's actually one of the strongest monsters in the game.

For only 5 mana cost, you get a total of 9 defense, which is 5 max health and 4 armor. He also gets 6 Speed which can make a lot of lower speed monsters miss their attacks.

But the best part of this monster is not the stats but the abilities he would get starting at level 1.


Abilities



Rust.png

At level 1, Rust is unlocked. Rust reduces the opponent's max armor by 2, with a minimum of 0, as long as this monster is alive.

This ability counters a lot of builds, summoners and monsters. It counters all Protect ability, negates the armor from Kelya Frendul and the likes and is very useful in Weak Magic rule of combat especially since half of my build's damage relies on magic damage.



Dodge.png

At level 3, Dodge is unlocked. Dodge decreases the opponent's max hit chance by 25%.

Dodge is different than having 2.5 Speed. Regardless if the opponent has higher speed than him, the opponent's max hit chance will always be reduced by 25%. This means that even if the opponent managed to have a higher speed than Noa the Just, due to speed, they always have a chance to miss.



Backfire.png

At level 5, Backfire is unlocked. Backfire inflicts 2 damage back to the attacker if they missed their attacks.

Due to Noa the Just's dodge ability and high speed, backfire is a good ability to have and can inflict a lot of damage. My build also have Slow and Swiftness giving my team an extra 1 speed and the opponent a reduced 1 speed giving this ability a much effective effect.

At level 6, Martyr is unlocked. Martyr ability increases the stats of both monsters beside him by 1.

Although you won't need this, Martyr could be a good bait for Opportunity ability since he only has 7 health at max level. He also has the Dodge and Backfire abilities so it would take quite a while before Noa the Just dies and Martyr ability activates.

What Doesn't Kill You - All Enrage.png

What Doesn't Kill You Rules of Combat. Gives Enrage ability to all monsters on the board. Enrage increases all melee damage and speed by half, rounded up, when the monster gets damaged. The monsters still gets the speed bonus even if they don't have melee attack types.

Weak Magic Rules of Combat. Allows monsters to block with their armor before reducing their health when being attacked by a magic damage type. This rule of combat has the same effect as Void Armor ability.

Zeddica: An integral part of the combo which allows the use of both Water Splinter's Daarg Deadblast and Death Splinter's Zyriel.

  1. Baakjira: Has Void to reduce any magic damage by half, Slow to decrease opponent's speed by 1 and high max health of 11.
  2. Daarg Deadblast: Has Weapons Training and Swiftness to increase the team's speed by 1. Since he has 2 magic damage, he also gives 2 magic damage to Baakjira and Noa the Just via Weapons Training.
  3. Noa The Just: Has Rust that decreases opponent's armor by 2, 4 Armor, 5 Health and 6 Speed. He's the main target for Daarg Deadblast and Zyriel's Weapons Training giving him both the range and magic damage at the same time.
  4. Zyriel: Dual element, Death and Life. Has 3 range damage and Weapons Training. Gives 3 range damage to Noa the Just and Riftwing via Weapons Training. Also Has Life Leech.
  5. Riftwing: 4 mana cost monster with 6 Health, 3 Speed and Scavenger ability. Gets 3 range damage from Zyriel via Weapons Training ability.
  6. Hardy Stonefish: I have 1 extra mana so I decided to add an extra blocker against probable monsters with Sneak ability.

Yes. I've found three variations of this strategy which I would tell in another post in the future.

Basically, the idea of this combo is to abuse the buff on the Weapons Training ability. Since Rebellion, they made the Weapons Training ability give the full power of the monster bearing the ability to the monsters with no attacks beside them instead of only half.

This meant that before Rebellion, Zyriel only gives 2 damage but not Zyriel gives 3 damage to both monsters beside her.

This is also the same case with Daarg Deadblast giving 2 magic damage to Baakjira and Noa the Just instead of supposedly 1 magic damage.

So, even though most of my monsters don't have any damage, through Weapons Training ability, Noa the Just can now get a free 5 total damage, 3 range from Zyriel and 2 magic damage from Daarg Deadblast.

This combo is made possible by Zeddica since Zeddica allows the use of Zyriel, since Zeddica is half Death, and allows the use of Daarg Deadblast, since Zeddica is also part Water.

None. Since half of the combo relies on magic damage, Noa the Just is really strong in this scenario since he counters the rule of combat, Weak Magic.

Decreasing the amount of opponent's armor also decreases the power of the Weak Magic rule of combat for your opponent.

Zeddica x Noa the Just in Weak Magic Rules of Combat

Yes. Zeddica is hidden OP because he has no ability but Zeddica connects Water and Death Splinters fixing Death Splinter's weakness of having no Tank Heal monsters. This also gives Water a strong Taunt monster with 2 magic damage by the form of Helheim Demon.

Zeddica also allows use of Zyriel, a legendary monster with 3 range damage and Weapons Training. Since Zyriel is a dual element monster by itself, you can use her if you have a summoner that can use Death or Life Splinters.

Zeddica is an important component of this combo to play Zyriel and other low mana cost monsters with no attacks such as Riftwing.

Noa the Just, on the other hand, is really good since he has high speed. This means he's able to attack first most of the time and having 2 magic damage and 3 range damage, this meant he gets to inflict a total of 5 damage at the start. His high speed also helps in making his attacks miss less.

Noa the Just's Rust ability is also really strong in Weak Magic and Armored Up since it removes an opponent's armor which gives you the only bonuses of the rules of combat while removing its perks for your opponents.

To me, Noa the Just is a an underrated monster since he doesn't have attack when you don't use Weapons Training while the Dual Summoners are hiddenly overpowered even though they don't have abilities as it gives you more access to different combos.
