Stats | Franz Ruffmane
Franz Ruffmane is a Rare summoner from the Chaos Legion Series.
Level 2 Rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 1 Legendary monsters;
Level 2 Epic monsters;
Level 2 Rare monsters;
Level 3 Common monsters.
He's honestly one of the best and my favorite Gladiator summoner. He has an extra armor to give your team giving you a mini-immunity by getting one shot by Opportunity and Sneak monsters. He's really good despite having high mana cost.
+1 Armor. [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] All friendly monsters has their armor increased by 1.
The 1 armor is actually enough to protect your low health monsters. The reason for this is that the armor absorbs all the excess damage from that attack.
As an example, if an opponnt's Sand Worm with 5 damage attaacks your Helmet Kharafax with 1 armor and 3 health, he doesn't die that turn but only the armor is removed and the 3 Health stays.
Conscript. [Support] Allow the use of one additional Gladiator this battle.
Conscript is a genius idea. While it looks unfair for those who doesn't have Gladiator cards, it doesn't change the fact that it gives a flair to the game.
Stats | Helmet Kharafax
Helmet Kharafax's stats are fairly decent. You really shouldn't expect a 2 mana cost monster to carry your game or be a very effective tank. He's better than most because of his one extra armor but what really makes him good are his abilities.
At level 1, Bloodlust is unlocked. [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] If this monster kills an opponent's monster, max health, max armor, attack damage, and speed increases by 1.
Bloodlust on an attackless monster is actually really good because you can train him up to two attack types. If you place him in between monsters with Weapons Training ability, he can get both of those attacks as long as the Weapons Training are of different types.
At level 1, Scavenger is unlocked. [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] If this monster kills an opponent's monster, max health, max armor, attack damage, and speed increases by 1.
Scavenger combined with Bloodlust is very strong. Whenever Helmet Kharafax kills someone, he gets 2 extra max health instead of 1 and this can ramp up very fast. Even if he doesn't kill someone, he still gets an extra max healh every time someone in either team dies. The longer you can keep him alive, the stronger this monster become as well even able to get up to extra 17 max health in a game.
At level 4, Void is unlocked. [Defense] Monsters with Void ability reduces the incoming magic damage by half. If the damage is 1, before the effect applies, the damage is negated and becomes 0.
Imagine the first 2 abilities on its maximum then give additional protection. This monster is close to being immortal at late game with this ability.
At level 7, Magic Reflect is unlocked. [Defense] [Damage] Any opponent's monsters with magic damage that attacks this monster will take magic damage back by half the amount.
Void combined with Magic Reflect ability makes this card a mage killer. He gets reduced damage from magic while returning a portion of it.
At level 10, Return Fire is unlocked. [Defense] [Damage] Any opponent's range monster that attack this monster will take melee damage back by half the amount.
This one is a bit out of place but still good. While it doesn't reduce the damage, it adds to the damage output by adding some return damage to the enemy range monster.

Franz Ruffmane: Franz Ruffmane is, like I said, the best gladiator summoner due to his +1 armor ability. In this manner, he acts like Truthspeaker, which you cannot use anymore since she's Untamed, for the team protecting your back row againts Sneaks and Opportunity attacks.
- Pelacor Conjurer: He's one of the best low cost tank in my opinion. The Flying ability with his high speed does a lot in evading melee and range attacks. Even in this battle, I wasn't able to use my full strategy since him alone was able to evade 4 attacks in the early game not giving a chance to reach Helmet Kharafax.
- Spirit Hoarder: I want to focus on magic damage so I had to add this one.
- Venari Marksrat: I placed him beside Helmet Kharafax because I was expecting my opponent to get pass through the first two monsters and activate this card's Martyr ability for Helmet Kharafax.
- Helmet Kharafax: The main star of this battle. He's strong and pretty cheap to use and can ramp up regardless if he kills an opponent or not because of his abilities.
- Aves Sturgis: I really like this one because of his Weapons Training. He is really strong when combined with certain monsters.
- Clockwork Aide: One of the best monster to use as a Sneak blocker. You only need 4 mana to use this monster and since Sneaks are normally melee attacks, it gives you a high amount of sustain at the early part of thegame.
αͺIαͺ YOαα αTαα©TEGY α―OαKEαͺ?
No. Don't get me wrong. The reason the strategy didn't work is because Pelacor Conjurer was too lucky evading 4 attacks in the first two rounds. My strategy was to stall until Helmet Kharafax gets enough Bloodlust stacks, Scavenger stacks then Martyr ability to make him really strong in the mid game.
This didn't work because my opponents weren't even able to kill Venari Marksrat, let alone Pelacor Conjurer to even start at my real strategy. Even so, I won so I don't have complaints.

Spirit Hoarder. You can change Spirit Hoarder to Dax Paragon if you want but since they almost have the same stats, the change wouldn't matter.
π«π πππ ππππ Franz Ruffmane and Helmet Kharafax in Briar Patch Rules of Combat? πΎππ ππ πΎππ πππ?
Yes. Helmet Kharafax is really strong in this rule of combat as long as you won't train him with a melee damage. I normally use him in between Aves Sturgis and Zyriel for him to get both magic and range damage. With these two and the Bloodlust ability, he gets overpowered really fast. I just don't use him recently due to his health and is waiting for a level up. The problem with low health is that he gets targetted by Opportunity ability a lot of times making it hard to fight.
Franz Ruffmane is also good due to his extra armor. Whenever I play him, I just imagine that I am playing a 3 mana cost summoner and Truthspeaker at the same time since Truthspeaker is also 3 mana cost. The extra armor might not look good but it's actually pretty strong once you've tried it.
