My First Experience in Survival Mode

I remembered that I have some of these other units that I've had from playing last year that I now cannot use in Modern Ranked Format. With the current value of Hive and the rewards I am getting in my posts, it would not be good to pay for the Wild Pass for the Wild Ranked Format. I remembered about the Survival Format and tried it. I realized that it was a good way to showcase the old cards without really risking anything as long as I only use non-Modern Ranked Format cards.
This battle was my first Survival Mode battle and I am very happy with the result although it sacrificed the life of one of my monsters that I would be featuring today, Coastal Sentry.

Stats

This has high value especially because Coastal Sentry's damage is pretty high. Since there's 5 melee damage, this ability doubles it. This also works with her other abilities making this ability really insane. Double Strike is really strong in majority of the abilities especially when combined with on-hit abilities like Blast.

Due to the high damage, Piercing is really strong for Coastal Sentry. Since melee damage doesn't pass through armor, any excess on that 5 damage can now go to health. In addition to that, since there's Double Strike ability, you can be sure that the second strike will hit the health fully.

In order for Knock Out ability to work, you need to have Stun. Stun is great because it can make an opponent skip their round but it's better since Coastal Sentry can now do double damage to that monster. Each of her Double Strike attack can do double damage making her deal up to 20 damage alone in one round.

Battle
This battle is a treat for me. I've seen a lot of monsters I never saw before and some that were nostalgic. I really liked using Helios Matriarch. The Gold Foil level 2 gives me a lot of access to strong monsters and since she is dragon, it also gives me more monsters to play with. Conscript was unique. It allows the use of Gladiators outside Brawl. That is why I was able to use Isgald Vorst, a Gladiator with Opportunity and Bloodlust. My lineup wasn't really that overpowered but maybe because of the difference in level and monster quality, I was able to win this battle. A lot of their monsters cannot really attack so that limits their damage while mine can attack each time except for Kra'ar Xoc, which doesn't have any damage.

Coastal Sentry is one of the strongest melee damage monsters for the Water element during her times. Her Double Strike ability allows her to attack two times every round which is huge when combined with high damage. Piercing makes sure her high damage is not wasted on armor. Knock Out gives her huge damage potential when enemies are stunned. She works best when placed behind a tank using Flank or Reach support. With the right setup, she can destroy enemy monsters and the entire enemy team very quickly.
