The Tankiest Support in Life Element

Meriput Magician is a monster normally added to the team. He isn't strong in terms of damage but you don't use it for the damage but for the abilities he can provide. With this monster on your team, you can make sure that you have a stronger tank that can delay the opponent's team until your own team can deal with them.

Nowadays, I don't see Meriput Magician being used in the battles. I don't know why but my theory is because of the Bloodlines. With the Bloodlines, you can use other monsters that is not the same element as the archon. With more options, the other monsters overshadow this little monster and players tend to choose damage over utility despite the good support this monster can provide.

Lore

In the Upper Daigendark near Praetoria's surface lies the hamlet of Meriput: a network of cozy burrows inhabited by a colony of shy and peaceful muriden. The magicians of Meriput use their magic to heal their kin, preserve the colony's food supply, buttress its burrows, and defend against the dangers of the Deep.

And there are dangers aplenty. Mycelias and mystrovirs, kobolds and khayals, shadites and shadows—the Deep holds an innumerable number of creatures that would like nothing better than to make a meal of a muriden or three.

Stats

Meriput Magician's stats is different. Normally, supports have lower health and armor to compensate for the good support they can provide. Meriput Magician is a bit tankier than normal monsters while his abilities can make it survive longer while healing your team with the Tank Heal.

Tank Heal is a strong ability in general. The heal is based on the target monster's max health divided by 3 so the higher the max health of the target, the higher the heal would be.

A healer with a defensive ability like Shield is one of the best in my opinion. You want this monster to last until the end so having an ability that increase its survivability is a good thing. I also think that Shield is better than Void in a lot of battles because you normally put Meriput Magician towards the back of the line and the ones with the Sneak and Snipe abilities are normally melee and range monsters.

Strengthen is just a bonus. It's neither good nor bad but it does complement the Tank Heal a little. This ability increases the max health of the entire team by 1. That means it would also increase the amount of heal the monster in the 1st position would get. Another good thing about Strengthen ability being with Meriput Magician is that Shield makes this monster very hard to kill and Strengthen only works as long as the monster is alive. That synergy makes this ability strong with Meriput Magician.

Battle

This was a very lucky battle for me. I have Bella Ratajowlski as my archon which gives my Ulund monsters Shield while the opponent's archon, Fithe Bladestone, gives their Dwarf monsters the Void ability. So my monsters halves melee and range damage while their monsters halves magic damage. We don't have Earth and Water elements available so I got stuck with my third lineup and most of these monsters are melee and range making the Void ability useless while my Shield ability useful. Because of that difference, I won the battle pretty easily as my team gets half the damage while being able to be healed by Meriput Magician.

Meriput Magician may be little in your eyes but he is one that can provide huge advantage. The Tank Heal is a really strong ability that must be added in any lineup. Shield can provide sustain in order for Meriput Magician to live longer while Strengthen ties them all up with better health for better sustain and survivability.

Overall, Meriput Magician is a really strong support. Despite being an older monster, the support it can give is still up to date. With Meriput Magician on your team, expect your tanks to be stronger and sturdier being able to withstand long beating until you win your battles.
