Tugging at my Heart
Romantic movies coming soon are giving love fans plenty to look forward to. One great example is "My Oxford Year." It is a 2025 Netflix movie played by Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest about Anna De La Vega travelling to study Victorian poetry for a year at the University of Oxford. It is a very cheeky movie that would sure make your heart strings tugged with many emotions just like what it did to mine. Here’s a poem celebrating the feeling of watching romantic movies and falling into those gentle, emotional worlds.
Tugging at my Heart
The screen glows warm, the lights go low,
Soft hearts and scenes begin to show.
I settle in with gentle sigh,
Where love unfolds before my eye.
Two souls meet under moonlit skies,
A hint of magic in their eyes.
Their laughter soft, their stories kind,
Romance that lingers in my mind.
Plots twist sweet like whispered words,
Every glance, a hopeful chord.
I breathe with them through rise and fall,
Each tender scene, I want it all.
Both the actors plays their part,
Warm beaches tugging at my heart.
Cobbled roads and seaside cheer,
Paint a love both bright and clear.
My heart attuned, I lean back soft,
Cuddling my pillows in my loft.
No need for haste, no need to roam,
These stories make me feel at home.
When credits fade and lights return,
I hold the warmth I’ve come to learn.
Romantic films that swept me through,
Make every “good night” feel like new.
